Re: TGIF
Dang I already had a lady hang up on me this morning after she wanted a quote. Hopefully this isnt going to be like this all day.
Oh I didn't realize that, how annoying!
That is crazy overpriced!
Can you do Chuck E Cheese or Craigs Cruisers?
Two words for this
UNISOM and B6
I know we offered this advice to you last time, but I'm telling you, it makes a huge difference (unless you have the really really bad morning sickness - the one with the name I don't know how to spell). I didn't with Allison because I felt weird about taking meds while pregnant. I said screw it with Amelia and it worked wonders.
Thanks for the green monster tips. I've been using the standard recipe from Oh She Glows. Like you said, I think I need to add more ingredients -- peanut butter and/or fruit.
MissyNa, I hope you're able to find a place for the party. How frustrating that the children's museum was so unresponsive.
Here, i don't know if this helps at all.

What about going just to play and then somewhere else for lunch. Or schedule the party from 2-4 and buy snacks from Blast Factory.
I witnessed a car slip on the ice and slush, go into the other lane, hit an embankment, and flip on its side. Luckily I wasn?t closer or otherwise she would have probably hit me Roads are a lot worse in the county I work in. I pulled off the side of the road and am frantically searching for my cell. I couldn't find it. I run across the street to see if they were home and they weren't. It was super slushy and slick, so I'm trying to run as fast as I can without fall. I get back to the road and see a car coming down the hill, so I frantically wave them down and use their phone to call. The husband of the car I stopped went to the car. Lucikly the driver was able to get out on her own.
Now, I have no focus on work today.
Oh my gosh, MB. How scary!
DH is brewing at the Hunting & Fishing expo all weekend. I plan to sleep in tomorrow, clean, maybe bake, and on Sunday go to the GR Swap thing.
I am going to my friend's daughter's birthday party tomorrow at Tarry Hall. There is no way that I am rollerskating - I will just people watch and watch everyone else fall. LMAO
I don't know what recipe you're using, but I've had a lot of success with either of these two:
PB/Banana:
Lg handful fresh baby spinach
1/2 C milk (any kind--dairy, soy, almond)
1/2 C water
1 small banana
1T creamy natural PB
1/2C crushed ice
Occasionally I'll add a scoop of vanilla or chocolate protein powder.
Blend all ingredients.
Chocolate/Cherry:
Lg handful fresh baby spinach
1/2 C milk (any kind--dairy, soy, almond--use chocolate if you don't want to add protein powder)
1/2 C water
1 C frozen cherries [I use unsweetened]
1T natural almond butter
1 scoop chocolate protein powder
Blend all ingredients.
GVSU: that's scary. I'm glad she was all right, and that you were able to be helpful. I hope your nervous system has calmed down. I also read up on the evening randoms. I'm glad the intern has been awesome. I'm very sorry about your desk location change.
Kasa, what a bummer about the ski trip. I know you've been looking forward to it.
There are so many other things in this thread to respond to. I'm not sure I'll be able to catch up today.
Last night we had to go look in our boxes at Jim's parents house. His aunt and uncle are foster parents, and they needed something for their current child that we had. When we got there, his mom spouted for several minutes about how they should stop doing that because the aunt is only a year younger than she is and how dare she. Sigh.
that sounds so good. Have you tried the no-knead pizza crust? (by the same people who do the Artisan Breadin 5 Minutes a Day book). I wasn't a *huge* fan of the no knead bread so I haven't tried their pizza crust recipe but it does sound nice for weekends.
I've never heard of it. It's not a huge deal to make regular knead dough. Sure it makes a bit of a mess, but it's not that bad. Most of the time comes from letting the flour sit with the water and yeast for 20 min. I start the dough in my stand mixer because the recipe I use is super sticky. You wouldn't be able to start it with your hands. I enjoy the challenge and result. I've thought about doing my own french bread for fun. Sure it's easy and cheap to buy, but you don't have that same satisfaction when eating store bought
I was just reading about that! Interesting.
Hrmmm.
I have about a million things I want to say about this, but don't know how. I think it's awesome that Jim's aunt and uncle are foster parents! A stable, loving home is such a wonderful gift to give less fortunate children. I hope your MIL keeps her negative comments to herself .
I should be careful about c/p -ing photos from Google images here.
2 days ago there was some funny stuff going on. It originally happened on the Bump, I guess, but P&CE picked it up. Someone had a photo of... her pet? ... her baby? and it was replaced by well, something completely different.
So... if the photo of flying pigs suddenly turns into a fella with an erection, I'm sorry.
What?! I don't get it. How does that happen?
DP, it's not them, but they're following the case really closely.
Kasa, I don't know. There was a lot of hypothesises on the thread, but folks were stumped.
