Re: FFFW/AW/Vents
AW1: We bought a new car for H last night! It's a 2010 Toyota RAV4, replacing his 13 year old CRV. We were able to pay for over half of it in cash.
AW2: My credit score is fabulous, and it's 41 points higher than H's score. We qualified for a great interest rate on the car loan.
FFFC1: The car salesman really got under my skin. When we told the salesman that I had better credit than H, he openly questioned that. I sure proved him wrong! He was an older guy with kids my age and I'm sure he was just trying to be friendly, but if he called me "baby girl" one more time I was about ready to go off on him. He didn't call H any "endearing" terms.
AW1: I booked my appointment for buodoir pictures. I'm getting them done March 19th and I'm nervous, so who's meeting me for drinks beforehand??
AW2: I somehow just found out about the teacher discount program AT&T has, so I signed us up yesterday and we'll save 15% on our bill---it'll amount to $35+ per month. Saving money =
JJ and I surprised my dad at the airport yesterday when he flew back for R&R. He cried...and I never see him cry [except at funerals]. It's nice to have him back.
Work has been super stressful the past week, and I'll probably have to come in this weekend to keep up. I hope it slows down soon so I can catch up on other things - I'm glad my assistant director will be back from maternity leave on Monday so things can start to even out again.
I've been staying up late and getting up early to watch the Australian Open. I may be borderline addicted to tennis after this.
Vent: This week has been so stressful. Two of the days I left my house at 6:45am and didn't get home until 9pm and then I had to do homework once I got home. And they were nonstop days that consisted of working, then going to school, then going back to work, then going to tutor immediately after work. This semester is going to kill me...
AW: I'm off work today! Although I still have a class to go to. We're leaving for Dallas right after my class for my half marathon tomorrow morning. We also plan to do some shopping which I'm really looking forward to considering the week I've had. Running and shopping are my two favorite stress relievers!

AW: After months of hearing "I'll have it for you next week," our house is officially under contract! The not so great news: there's nothing currently on the market that we're interested in. Isn't that always the way it goes?
FFFC: As some of you know, I'm a mega-introvert. I went out of my way to make dinner/drinks plans for tonight with a girl friend that I've hung out with a few times, but woke up this morning with severe cramps.
Somehow managed to drag myself to work, but I am *not* looking forward to hang out time tonight. Hopefully the midol will kick in soon. I'll be dreaming of sweatpants all day.
OMG!!! Congrats!!!! That is so exciting. I had no idea it was for sale. I thought you were planning to put it on the market but didn't know it was actually on the market.
It wasn't really on the market... a neighbor expressed serious interest several months ago, and we'd been operating under the assumption that the deal was all but done. But then when it took him MONTHS to follow through and actually sign a contract, we were getting worried. So glad to have it all "official" now.
Yay! Sounds like you need to find yourself a storage unit and an apartment.
March/April/May is when the majority of homes go on the market.
Good to know. The cool thing about this situation is that the buyer is currently renting, so he's very flexible with closing dates (at least so far). He basically told us to look until we find something we love. It's a pretty ideal situation to be in at the moment.
Yay! Congrats! It sounds like you lucked into an amazingly (mostly) stress-free way to sell your house. I am totally jealous!
I am pretty much right there with you on the FFFC. I have plans to do go dinner and a movie with a friend tonight, but I am crampy and SOOO tired (I really need to be taking iron supplements right before AF comes to visit). I hope that I am not miserable company and that I can stay awake through the movie.
Ugh, I'll add my vent/confession and it's that I feel like crapola. I have a sore throat and fever and cough and headache and everything hurts. I'm so effing whiny, like a child, seriously. Kevin deserves a medal for listening to my I'm dying BS. I went to the dr. yesterday and he gave me antibiotics, but I think I've gotten worse instead of better. No amount of mucinex, aleve, tylenol, motrin, and antibiotics is helping. I'm not looking forward to picking Connor up tonight because I've spent a chunk of the last two days half incoherent. I can only imagine how miserable this household will be if he gets this.
Good luck tomorrow Kaylee! I'm so excited for you! You'll do great. My biggest advice is not to sit still for too long afterwards. Keep moving or you will be more likely to be sore (as in, stop along the way back from Dallas to get out and walk around a bit).
Congrats McG! What a great situation. You can buy my house if you want!
Awesome news, McG! Now the fun part of finding a house you love!
I'm so ready for the weekend. I've been so busy on weekdays lately that I think I've been pushing myself a little too much over the past month or so. Come Friday night I'm just exhausted. Lately I've been having to force myself to stay up until 10 p.m. on Fridays, and then I sleep for 12 hours, if not longer. I need to fix this, but I don't know how yet.

Yuck! I hope you start feeling better! Your symptoms don't sound fun
And thanks for the advice! I'll keep that in mind! We're staying in Frisco tomorrow night, so we'll be shopping a lot tomorrow after the race, which will help keep me moving!

This made me tear up. I'm so happy you get some time to visit with your dad, and I'm thankful for his service.
My FFC: H has lost some weight and it seriously pisses me off because, well, I haven't lost any. I'm happy for him because he had put on a lot of weight in the last year. He was really too skinny before, but my concern was that he was putting on all the excess weight in his belly. Hopefully I'll lose some weight soon myself because I've been really trying to permanently change my eating habits and steer clear of a "diet" or quick fix.
I have only lost five pounds and I am getting really discouraged. I am eating this Jenny stuff, tooting like crazy, and am exhausted as h.ell. Plus, I have been working out like mad so all in all, I am getting frustrated.
Last night I had Victoria's for dinner. I had them hold the parm cheese and my meal consisted of marinara, noodles, chicken, and veggies, but still, I feel horribly guilty. Today I went to Kamps and had a sandwich but ate only the meat and veggies. Okay, and the top piece of bread.
Regardless, I am starving. I am tired of being so tooty. And given I have barely lost any weight, I am discouraged. Further, my trainer is hot and that makes it even worse.
I tried, but his dad had plans for tonight/tomorrow morning. I'm finally feeling better though. I hope it lasts.
Im right there with ya on the weight loss. I've been lifting, running, eating well, etc. and the scale has not budged at all.
*wiping off cupcake frosting* I'm not losing weight either, and I have no idea why...

We all know my mother and I don't exactly see eye to eye. On Monday, she emailed me and it said "LOL! what a small world." Now, one ridiculous, vague email is not a big deal, but she does this crap all the time. Who has time to go back and forth with someone like that? Retarded. So I responded with "Sigh. What are you talking about?" Apparently she works with the father of one of my friends that went to GWL with us this weekend. So my response was "Yes, we have been friends a long time. Also, wouldn't it have been easier to state that in your original email?" Most of the time, when she does this, I don't respond but, duh.
Anyway, she sent me this text last night about me copping an attitude with her and how she is sick of it. Somehow she turned this into how my grandmother is going to be put into a nursing home and it is all my fault that she is upset about it because I copped an attitude with her. Four days prior. I really have to wonder...if I weren't around, who would she blame for EVERYTHING?
Me three. Me three.
This is how I was, too, until we started new meal plans from bodybuilding.com. I think it's really working! I've lost about 5 lbs in the past two weeks and DH has lost about 8-10. It's really hard to stick to at first but it's easier now. If you use myfitnesspal you can view a pie graph of your fats/proteins/carbs intake. I realized that even though I was sticking to my calorie goal, I was eating way too many carbs and not enough protein. So now I've been trying to increase my protein intake and reduce my carbs (and choose better carbs like whole wheat bread, brown rice, etc.)

AW: I'm having a baby!!!
FFFC: I haven't came out on FB yet, but my SIL decided it was her place to announce my pregnancy on FB. This girl doesn't play any sort of role in our lives. We haven't spoken to her in years. We're not even FB friends so I had to find out through someone else. Needless to say, I ripped her a new one for it.
Congrats! And sorry your SIL was so tactless.
Congratulations!! That's great!
And
at your SIL
That is awesome news!! Congrats. We are waiting until April/May to start our hunt, partly due to this pregnancy, but also b/c there's nothing on the market right now.
YAY! Congrats!
And boo on your SIL's face. That's not cool.
