DH just left for hockey so I am all by my lonesome for the next few hours. I decided to take off work today to attend the funeral with DH and I definitely made the right decision, he was really thankful that I was there for support. We got home around 3 and have been just relaxing ever since. I am debating about either watching a movie or reading something. I SHOULD read for school but...I don't think that will be happening tonight
Re: Anybody around?
Nice! I just finished meal planning. Luckily our meal planning was extra wonky this week so I don't really have much to get at the store.
I've been working on school stuff (and laundry) all day. Just thought I'd pop in to say "hi!"
Sam: I'm glad that you and your H are getting through this together. It must have been tough today with the funeral. You deserve to take the rest of the night off and just enjoy spending some time together at home.

Thank you
It really has been tough and it's been difficult to know just how to support him but I think we're doing okay. We've never had to deal with a situation like this before, aside from when my grandmother died a couple of years ago.
I just popped in and I'm glad some of you guys are around too!
I had a very long day and I'm so glad to be relaxing at home now. We were at Tampa's big annual parade today, and I we had to get there very early to set up and ride on H's radio station's float. It was really warm today (upper 70s) and we were along the water, so I got sunburned. We saw hundreds of people dressed up like pirates (not counting those that were in the parade) and a LOT of drunkenness. H's radio station's float is pulled by a monster truck (yes, it's tacky, but that's a rock station for you) and we threw copious amounts of mardi gras beads. My throwing arm feels like it just did a hundred push ups! We finally got home from the parade around 6:00, then I had to shower so we could go back out to dinner. We just got home and I breathed a sigh of relief that the day is coming to a close.
Tomorrow will be pretty relaxing. We have a couple of commitments (dinner plans with friends and something in the afternoon), but nothing crazy. I need to work on my meal plan for the week and go shopping in the morning, but I think that's fun.

That chili does sound good.
Am I the only one that can't bold on TN? I hate not being able to bold certain parts of a quote.
Sam-- so glad you were able to take off and support your H. That must be a relief!! I've been thinking about you guys today!!
We are at home, with my parents and sister who came home from college. My Dad is helping me with our taxes... FUN!

I'm here! H and I haven't really done much today. We went to a elementary basketball game today. Two of my students play and asked me to come. They were cute, but they lost. :-(. We ate at Sam's Club :-) We went running this afternoon and have been home ever since just relaxing.
I just asked him to get me an ICEE which he's not thrilled about because he was watching some UFC thing.
I need to do meal planning. We have no food, so I'll be spending quite a bit when I go grocery shopping

I can bold, but I'm too dumb to figure out how to do pictures on here.
My H is watching that too! We DVR'd it while we were at dinner, and H rushed home so he could turn it on.

It depends on your browser, I think. I use Chrome and I can't bold, use smileys, links, or post pictures. If I want to post anything like that I'll just pop over to firefox instead.
Thank you for thinking of us! That means a lot.
Mine missed the beginning because he was outside working and now he is sleeping. I am not sure why I am still watching it though...
I wanted to see that! Glad to hear it was good!
It's good background noise.
I'm watching it with H, and it's actually not as bad as I thought it might be. Then again, my H is a hockey freak and we have hockey on at the house all.the.time. I guess I'm just used to it!

Sammichele - You two definitely deserve to relax a little bit, today must have been very difficult. Glad you were able to take off work and support your H, I'm sure he really appreciates having you there.
Nothing too exciting for us tonight. I have done 5 loads of laundry today (yep, got a little behind. lol) and picked up the house. I made-up a recipe tonight that I'm calling "Un-burritos" (basically, mix together Spanish rice, 1 can petite diced tomatoes, 1 cup shredded cheddar, and 1lb taco meat). It was pretty tasty! I decided that I wanted ice cream, so we ran by Dairy Queen and got dessert (haven't done that in months!)...totally worth every bite. lol
Ohh how I miss Dairy Queen!
Ah, I use Safari that must be why. Thanks!
You don't have a Dairy Queen!?!?!? I've never lived in a town without it. lol
Of course!! You're like my twin :-)

You're lucky! We don't have a Dairy Queen anywhere near where I live.
I can only get a Blizzard when I visit my parents, who live about 1.5 hours from here.

Well, the only one we have is probably 45 minutes away. Where I lived in Ohio we had one down the street!
I agree....LAME! Now I want a blizzard!
