  I don't tan.  Literally.  I go from pasty white to cherry red, then to purple (purple _really_ sucks, btw...  pain for days and days).  The only areas I can get anything resembling brown on are my forearms, probably because they are the only part of me that regularly sees sun...

   

  So, I don't bother, and I've come to terms with the fact I'll never tan...

   

  Add in the fact that both my dad and my uncle have had issues with skin cancer, and I figure it's probably safest to just avoid the sun.  (I'm a bit like the pp'er - I wear broad brimmed hats when I go into the sun, rarely go to the pool, unless it's indoors, wear long pants/sleeves if I can get away with it without overheating, seek shade anywhere I go, avoid beaches and sunsports, etc...)

  Try this stuff. For real. I turn orange if I look at a makeup that is too dark. I can't tan to save my life. This is the only stuff I've ever used that doesn't make me streaky or orange.I heard about it over on the H&F board, my mom and my friend Courtenay, plus myself all use it now. I love it because it gives me just enough color to keep me from being blinding but I don't look like an oompa loompa either.

  You've come too late! I've already paid for 2 months of tanning  (or spray tanning, whatever I prefer) but I will keep this bookmarked for future reference.
