1. I got sucked into my bed this morning and then by the time I was getting up to go to the gym Ben woke up and it took me 20 minutes to get him back down. I ended up having to miss the gym.
2. Since it's going to be 53 out today. I'm going to run with the kids in the stroller.
3. I hate Tuesdays lately. It's my grocery day and it's all too complicated with dropping T off at school and then having 2.5 hours to kill before I go get him. I either get my shopping done too soon and then have food sitting in my car, unrefrigerated, or I have to add extra mileage to my car and day by driving back to my home area to do my shopping. I hate it.
4. I just joined myfitnesspal. I hope it's worth it and I can stick to it. I'm really frustrated at the no loss on the scale thing.
5. I'm trying hard to not make this a numbers thing, but dh is constantly telling me he's lost 2lbs here, and 4lbs there. I have lost NOTHING.
6. I'm realizing that my problem is probably that I don't know anything about calories and how much I'm actually eating. I feel like I don't know what to eat now.
7. My dh said he's going to start folding at least one basket of laundry every night while we watch tv. It has yet to happen. I have 4 loads waiting to be folded. Part of me is pissed about it, the other part is relieved. He sucks at folding and I end up refolding anyhow.
8. My ten things is entirely too long.
9. Between watching 50/50 and reading Immortal Life of Henrietta Lacks- I feel stressed and have a crazy urge to go to the doctor and make them do a full body scan to look for cancer.
10. I wish we were having an earlier GTG.

Losing it...Without Losing it
Re: Ten Things Tuesday
I'm on MFP if you want to be friends! I find it very helpful in tracking calories and exercise and very frustrating by making me feel like I'm not doing enough even though I mostly only put healthy things in my body. Good luck!
1. I spoke at a Lunar New Year Festival last night, and I was very well recieved!
2. There was this really old Chinese lady there who shoved a seasame/bean ball thing in my hand and said something along the lines of, "It's the new year, you have to eat this!" It was very cute!
3. She also translated a poem into Chinese calligraphy for me. I'm pretty excited about it!
4. I have to stay late at work tonight to do pest control. BOOO!
5. My new book FINALLY came in the mail. Too bad I'm already reading something else. It'll just have to wait!
6. My aunt had her baby on Sunday! I have yet to see a picture, but I hear she is adorable!
7. She was in labor over 24 hours and went completely med-free! I'm very proud of her. She's an OBGYN and wanted to prove to her patients (and I'm sure to herself) that it can be done.
8. I wish she lived closer so she could be my OBGYN! She's so good at what she does!
9. Speaking of OBGYNs I need to call my doctor - yuck.
10. I have no interest in being at work today.
Me too!!! Let's be friends Mere! The only way I can lose weight is to track my calories. I'm down almost 7 pounds since the holidays (although, it isn't totally reflected on MFP because I was up over my top weight at the holidays
But seriously, counting calories is the only way that works for me!

2. We officially made it through DS's first illness! He's still got a bit of a stuffy nose in the mornings, but he's probably at about 95% better.
3. MIL/SFIL are coming over to babysit on Sat so DH and I can go out for dinner and a movie (yay!). I have no idea what we are going to go see yet.
4. MIL really wants to babysit, but now that she's offered it seems like she's petrified.
5. This is my last 5-day week. Starting next week I only work M-Th!
6. My current (old as of next week) director came up to me yesterday to let me know he was bummed I was leaving the dept. He asked if I'd be interested in coming back if he were allowed to let me do the 32 hour work week (I had to leave the dept in order to cut back on hours).
7. I have no idea if I will ever be allowed to do the short week in my current (soon to be old) dept, but its nice to know he'd like me back if I could.
8. DH just sold a bunch of stuff we had laying around on ebay. Its so nice to get that stuff out of our house, and we made a little cash, too!
9. DH still hasn't called to cancel cable yet (was supposed to do it last week) I'm pretty glad he didn't, though, because it made staying home with a sick kid last week a little easier.
10. DS slept in until 6:30 yesterday and 6:00 today. I'm really hoping that he keeps it up!
1. It is so warm outside right now, I can't believe it!!
2. The birds were chirping on my way in! I loved it!
3. I wish it would just be spring. We can skip what's left of winter!
4. Today is payday!!!!
5. That's a really really good thing, because I haven't been paid in 5 1/2 weeks! (Because I am paid once a month and the university is "nice" during the holidays and pays everyone before Christmas instead of the last day of the month)
6. Because of 5 I am not broke anymore! Its a nice feeling!
7. DH got a call at 11pm last night saying he was going to Wisconsin today. He'll be gone the rest of the week
8. I tried to make quinoa mac and cheese last night, but apparently my grocery store doesn't sell quinoa. I was pretty annoyed. So I bought pearled barley instead, just to try it. It was actually pretty good. Although, barley takes way longer to cook than quinoa.
9. I will be eating leftovers all week since DH is going to be out of town.... (so much for my meal plan! I guess we'll have Chicken tacos this weekend)
10. I'm not a huge fan of leftovers. I often make small meals when DH is out of town. When he's in town I make big meals, because I know I can count on him helping me out with the leftovers. I'm pretty annoyed about having to eat the same thing all week, despite the fact that it was pretty good!

What kind of stuff did he sell??? I really want to de-clutter the house and that seems like a pretty good way of doing it. I just don't know what sells well on ebay.

1. My patient's dad called early this morning to cancel his appointment. When I tried to call him back he didn't answer. I'm afraid he decided to bring the sick kid into the appointment any way.
2. I'm really hoping this patient doesn't come in, because I could use the time to get some work done around the office.
3. We brought in an intern and I spent a good chunk of last week training her to do little things, which put me behind in my work.
4. I'm looking forward to this weekend, because other than a Super Bowl party I have nothing going on.
5. Because of number 4, maybe I will finally have time to finish getting our guest bedroom/my craft room organized.....then again, maybe not :-) Its been a work in progress for the last six months.
6. They have a lot of baby stuff on sale this week at Target. I'm trying really hard not to buy anything. I keep telling myself its too early.
7. I should really be doing work instead of sitting on the nest, oops.
8. Luckily I haven't really been having any morning sickness, but I am hungry all the time and nothing ever sounds good.
9. We found out my SIL is due September 3rd. I'm secretly hoping that we both end up giving birth around our due dates. I know its childish, but I want to be first, lol.
10. Despite getting decent amounts of sleep these past several nights, I am still quite tired and just want to take a nap.
Before getting pregnant I was using the Daily Burner Tracker on my iphone to keep track of calories and exercise. I found that it really helped me thinking about what kind of food I was putting into my body. Every time I went to eat something I thought to myself "I don't want to have to add these calories to my daily count" and would end up not eating the food or eating something healthier with less calories.
1. I really need to get a haircut, but I don't think it will happen this week because I'm not sure I'm ready for someone new to cut my hair again. Plus, I'm running short of time.
2. I'm sad my stylist stopped cutting hair, but I keep telling myself that the person she recommended might be even better.
3. I'm still not convinced.
4. I had a dream last night about getting a facial and pedicure. Ha! It has been a stressful couple of days.
5. I'm looking forward to the 65* weather Vegas has to offer right now.
6. I fell on an icy sidewalk a couple weeks ago and my leg is still really bothering me.
7. I'm not sure what to do about #6 but just wait for it to feel better. I'm getting impatient about it though.
8. I bought a new carryon suticase that spins and I'm excited to use it.
9. I found a cute top at Nordstrom and a cute top at TJ Maxx for my trip.
10. I figure if you average what I spent at both places, I paid normal pricing for the tops.
LOL, I'm just the opposite. I try to cook in large quantities, and sometimes even double the recipe, just so we can have leftovers for a night or two. I rarely ever cook two nights in a row! I guess I'm lazy.
But I will confess, if I didn't like how dinner turned out, I instead pack up the leftovers for DH's lunch. He's a less-picky eater than I am, and he always thinks I'm doing him a favor packing him a lunch. But really just want him to eat up the food so I don't have to.
1. My mom took DD outside to play in the snow yesterday and she LOVED it, I wish I could have seen her, but I was at work.
2. I can't believe it's supposed to be 53 degrees today! In January!
3. It's hard to believe tomorrow is February.
4. We went to a friend's suprise bowling party on Saturday, it was fun and I actually bowled pretty good!
5. I am excited that I have leftovers in the fridge at home for dinner, it's so hard to cook during the week.
6. I really, really, really need to get an oil change.
7. I was disappointed in the Kourtney & Kim finale, it seemed like the season just ended pretty suddenly.
8. I'm probably the only one on here who watches the show Make it or Break it, but I heard it comes back in March and I am way too excited about that...lol.
9. This is taking me a really long time to do today.
10. I did it!
It was a bunch of old toner cartridges that don't fit any printers we have anymore and some old car parts that he replaced a long time ago (he's been rebuilding a mustang since before we met). It's been taking up a lot of room in our storage area for years, so it felt so good to get rid of it!
This is exactly what I do! I will definitely eat leftovers the next day, but I'm not a big fan of the same leftovers all week long. It's just frustrating that I planned for DH and I to eat this food for the next two days, but now that he's gone, it means that I have to eat it for the next 4 days. Thats just a lot of days in a row to eat leftovers. I'll have to figure out some way to re-purpose it...

I love this show! I watch it on hulu sometimes! I'm glad it's coming back too!

1. I haven't eaten breakfast yet.
2. I have no motivation to go to class tonight because lecture halls make me feel like a nobody.
3. DH has a hefty "to do" list tomorrow after work, and I'm proud of him for being productive but it means I won't see him until late.
4. Thursday we're going on a double date with my friend and the guy she met on pof.com ... at Dave and Busters! Man, I love their scooby snack shots.
5. Last night DH and I saw a hooker-wannabe at the mall. Loose t-shirt, camo print short shorts, black fishnets, heels. Oy vey...
6. I haven't eaten healthy lately.. and I definitely don't plan to on Sunday. This is a problem.
7. I love Daniel Radcliffe on Live With Kelly.
8. TOMORROW IS FEBRUARY FIRST?!? Whoa..
9. And I have a quiz I'm unprepared for. It's in Business. I don't care about business.
10. 5 classes has been overwhelming. I can keep up with the work, but every time I think I'm done I realize I have another assignment due soon. Oy.
Ugh, I know the feeling. I really want DH to help out more, but whenever I watch him do chores "the wrong way" (i.e., not the way I would do it) I just cringe and think, well I'm going to have to do that over again! I have to try not to watch him wash dishes because I'm not willing to re-wash them all.
Aww, that's so sweet! It's so nice to feel appreciated.
Do you think you're going to like your new department?
Oh no!!! That's one of my biggest fears. I knew someone who got a concussion once from slipping on ice so I always try to be SO careful. I probably look like an old lady shuffling along on the ice, lol. Feel better soon!!!
Excellent logic.
1. Holy moly how is it almost February?!
2. DH and I have been e-mailing each other more throughout the day since the wedding. We used to rarely talk to each other at work but I really like the communication. Even if it's just something funny that happened or something weird his co-workers say. It makes me smile to see an e-mail from him.
3. Today's e-mail from him has to do with the new show Alcatraz ("the new LOST"). He downloaded a few podcasts and he's been listening to them at work. He now has all sorts of ridiculous theories.
4. Over the weekend I started reading Suze Orman's Woman and Money and I really like it so far. Ever since buying the house, I've had a lot of anxiety about our finances, retirement, kids, cars, budgets, etc. So her book has really helped me put things in perspective and make me realize we aren't nearly so bad off as I imagine us to be.
5. I have to go to the dentist tomorrow and I'm not looking forward to it.
6. I'm very curious what our tax return is going to look like especially since we are filing jointly and bought a house.
7. Looking at my W-2s always really depresses me. I always think, "Where did my money go?!"
8. We turned the heat down 1 degree in the past few weeks and man does it make a difference. Maybe it's all psychological but I feel like I'm freezing all the time at home.
9. DH fixed the bifold door on our linen closet yesterday. It had gotten to the point where it would fall off the track whenever you opened it. I had been playing around with it all weekend and couldn't figure it out. Turns out I just needed a little more muscle power to tighten the screw even more.
10. I seriously was THRILLED when I came home and the door was fixed. It made my day.
2 - GREAT idea. I wish I thought about that before I went to work so I dressed accordingly
6 - At least you're acknowledging this. It's a great start to be more aware of what you're consuming.
7 - I get really annoyed when DH (or anyone) doesn't do what they say they're going to do. However, we hang all tops (with the except of tank tops), so folding isn't much of a problem.
2-3 - That's cute! I love when people are excited, but especially babies or old people
6-8 - Wow, that's incredible! Congratulations to her! However, I don't know if I'd feel comfortable with my family being my OBGYN. I prefer strangers lookin' at my cooter.
Have fun on your vacation! How long are you going for and where are you staying? I
Vegas
Also, I love new luggage. LOVE it.
7 - That's nice they love you so much!
8 - YES! Great job YH!
9 - Watching TV/movies helps me being sick too..
10 - Woohoo! Go YS!
1 - I LOVE IT.
6 - What a wonderful feeling... going without pay for 5.5 weeks is not fun!
7 - That's not cool that he was called so late. I'd be super annoyed (and of course, miss DH).
6 - I'd buy it if it's on sale! (And I've heard there are some really good deals at Target, actually)
7 - Me too!
9 - I don't care if it's childish, I would feel the same way (even though I don't think we'll be having kids for a few years anyway)
Im guilty of watching it too. Im excited that it is coming back!
4 - My first pedicure was on my wedding day. A friend bought me a GC for a mani/pedi for Christmas and I'm looking forward to using it soon!
5 - How wonderful!!
6-7 - I'm one to "wait it out" but always grow impatient, too. Feel better soon!
We will be gone for 4 days. Basically, 2.5 days there when you take out travel time, etc. We are staying at my SIL's house.
I love Dave and Busters and I am ashamed to admit I have spent way too much money playing that Wheel of Fortune coin pushing game :-/
The scooby snacks are good, but I LOVE the alien secretion!
4 - How exciting! (the surprise part AND bowling well)
6 - Likewise. I just don't feel like it, or cannot find the time.
