What's Bugging You Wednesday?

What's bugging you that really shouldn't be a big deal?

Re: What's Bugging You Wednesday?

  • I am having an awful time sleeping these days.  I don't know what my problem is, but I wake up a bunch during the night.  It's tough because DH travels half the time, so you never know when he will be there and when he wont.  I just haven't gotten used to his schedule yet.  I don't think he's gotten used to his schedule either.

My other issues is my anxiety is through the roof these days.  I really should probably go have a conversation with my doctor about it, but I just can't seem to make the call...   (I guess this one is a bigger deal than might be appopriate for a What's Bugging You Wednesday, but whatever!)

:-   Not sleeping is the worst!  I wonder if that is part of the problem wtih your anxiety? I know when I'm tired, my emotions are all over the place.

Oh, I'm sure it's part of the problem... I dont know if the anxiety is causing the restlessness or if the restlessness is causing some of the anxiety, but either way it sucks!

  • DH is constantly letting me down lately.

He said he would order Teagan's crib when it came back in stock.  Well he was all excited to tell me it was back in stock yesterday but when I got home from work, I discovered he didn't order it!

I have a Kindle DX that I've been asking him to put up on ebay since early November.  He still hasn't done it!

His laundry is still all over our bedroom, laundry room, and bathroom after having done it a week ago!  At this rate, it all needs to be washed again anyways.  Seriously?!  We aren't in college, just get your crap done!

  • My anxiety is also through the roof lately and I don't know why.  I feel like I'm constantly on the verge of a panic attack and I hate that feeling.  I've also been considering going to the doctor and going on meds for it.
  • Ladies with anxiety - I'm sorry it's been so bad lately!  I have it, too.  Have you tried Bach's Flower Essences Rescue Remedy?  I use it when I get super stressed at work/feel a panic attack coming on.  They have it in gum form now, too!  It doesn't fix anything, but it takes the edge off for me.

What's bugging me is my stupid cat.  He starts crying outside my bedroom door when he hears me moving around or my alarm go off.  He started at 4:30 this morning.  It used to just be a couple of meow's, but now it's constant!  UGH!

What is Bach's Flower Essences Rescue Remedy?  I've never heard of it.  But I would be willing to try anything that might help!  Especially something that sounds as easy as that!

It's a homeopathic remedy - they combine different flower essences in a combination that reduces anxiety.  I know it sounds a little hokey, but it works for me!  They have a whole line of essences that do different things, but rescue remedy is the one I always have around.  You can find it at Whole Foods or The Better Health Store.  Here's a link...

This looks like it would definitely be worth a try.  I just bought a pack on amazon.  (I may stop by whole foods on my way home though, just to try it out)  Thanks for your advice!  I'll see if it works for me too!

  • This weather.

Yes, I know it's sunny & nice out, which I would love, but I hate looking at brown dead grass & mud everywhere, plus I want to play w/my kids in the snow, which is hard to do when there's no snow!

I can understand that! The kids I nanny for live on a dirt road. I'm all for playing outside and getting dirty... but I go to school after work and an extra set of clothes wouldn't give me that clean feeling if we played outside.

  • I feel like I may have already used this one before, but I'm feeling bothered by it again, so here goes...

I'm bothered by the way DH feels the need to tighten every beverage container beyond what I can open myself without having to use a jar opener thing.  I tell him all the time to stop tightening everything so much, and he says it keeps things fresher longer.  Um, yeah, well when I can't get Emma her juice because I can't open it myself during the day... who really cares.

It's bugging me too.  I just wish it would make up it's mind.  The wild swings from freezing cold to warm and sunny are annoying.  And the mud is just yuck.

I really do love snow and I miss it this year. :(

Mine does that too.  He gets up on his hind legs and scratches the door with his front paws.  He can go for minutes at a time without stopping!  Not every morning thank goodness, but if I sleep in he will start.

My DH does this with the espresso maker.  The hole in the top where you add water has a screw on cap.  If he gets up and makes his coffee first, he tightens it so hard I can hardly get it off to make mine!  And when he comes between me and my morning coffee, it isn't pretty...

  • What's bugging me is DH's lack of a regular schedule.  I'm sure it sounds petty, but I'm annoyed that he can sleep in as late as he wants (sometimes he's still not up when I leave at 8:30), has time to go to the gym for an hour, showers at his leisure, and in general take his sweet time getting out the door because he doesn't have to be anywhere!  Then at night, I pretty much get home at the exact same time every single night because I ride the bus.  If I take a later bus, I text him to let him know.  He could totally just be home when I get home so we can eat together, but he doesn't.  I always have to call him and tell him to come home.  And he always acts surprised, "oh is it time for dinner?"  UGH!
  • I went into the cafeteria here at work and now I smell like a deli, you know that weird, food smell.. It's grossing me out. I just put a ton of lotion on to help with the smell...

That would be so annoying!!!!  My DH gets up like 20 mins after me in the morning and I still storm around the house just to try and wake him up..

  • I'm annoyed when people get my hopes up. Don't lie to me and tell me you have something for me when you really don't. Or don't say you're going to get me something, and then get something else.

I'm not a needy person BUT if you say you're going to get/give me something, I get excited. Don't tease me like that.

OMG, and he has a friend today. Some old guy that we have delt with before is here. He is an old friend of my boss.  My boss offers him a latte and the guy said he has never had one before. I sort of made a "huh" sound at that. Old guy then says, "Better than sex, huh Latte5". Tongue Tied Gross old man.  I have met this guy maybe 3 times.  I can't deal with two of them.

Cats are flippin weird. My cat is a master at waking us up. If meowing and running across the bed doesn't work, he licks a chair. Yes, licks a chair thats in our room. The sound of his scratchy tounge on the material of the chair is very rough sounding. And if that doesn't work, he walks over the the window and starts banging on the blinds with his paw while watching our bed for movement.  He is a smart little PITA. Jerk.

We had to ban ours from our bedroom since it became their favorite place to pee... jerks.  When they were allowed in their, they would scratch the corner of the bed, making the whole thing shake (I have large cats) or sit next to my head and poke me in the face.  Honestly, I think I preferred that to the meowing!
