I have quite a few contacts in the non-profit world here from my participation in a community organization and other volunteer work. I think with some tweeking of my resume and some solid networking, I could stand a chance.

And they kicked us out of daycare permanently for complaining. Found out at 5:30 pm today, effective immediately.

If only. He's all but said he's mad at me for it and wants me to call their district aged back tomorrow to talk them into taking him back. To his credit, he wants to see the director fired, but he also wants Connor back at the daycare that he can see from his house.

I know! In SIX MONTHS he'll be in school and there are zero daycares that do transportation to and from his school. The school's before/after care or private babysitting are really our only option then, so BUYING A HOUSE based on proximity to daycare was really a poor choice.

So you weren't supposed to say anything about them leaving the kids unattended? Even if the state says its okay, it baffles me that the daycare would allow it. What if something happened? The kids are too little to recognize an emergency and go get help.

All I can think of is how a kid started having a seizure right in front of me and it took a second for me to realize that something was wrong. If I wasn't able to see him, I know my kids would've said something but even then I would've felt terrible. I just can't wrap my brain around leaving kids especially that young alone for that long.

I think it was at least a large influencer. It's also the same side of town (ish) where Kevin and I will be building so theoretically it's close to Connors future school too (same school system, but different school)

Holy Shiit, Wendy? Do you have one of those expose type guys on the news where you are? Arnold Diaz is here and he confronts businesses that abuse their customers. I'd be on the horn to him immediately. I'd also let all the other parents know about their policy.

I agree with everyone else.

There is also a part of me that is relieved for you and COnnor though. People who are willing to expel you for complaining are probably equally willing to mistreat a child for a parent complaint. It is for the best that he is not around trash like that.
