Re: Other Friday Chit Chat
Went to a magic/illusion show last night and it wasn't nearly as lame as I thought it would be.
My eyes are watery, my contacts keep moving and I feel like I am in a constant state of pre-sneeze.
I don't think I've ever been to a magic/illusion show. Was it at UNT? I need to look at things that they have on campus a little more often if that's the case.
I get to go dress shopping again for my Mardi Gras dress. It's in two weeks and I hope I find a dress today so I don't continue feeling terrible trying on a ton of dresses.
Anyone have superbowl plans?

I only remember one when I was under 5 and I think it was actually a hypnotist the school or city brought in. Yes, it was at UNT. The only problem I could see you having is that they sometimes scan ID's but you can probably get around that one way or another. The past few semesters they have brought in Paul Vorhese (sp- completely wrong) and we try to go see him but I guess they went with this magic guy instead.
Please tell me you will blog or instagram them?
I am having a really good week and excited for the weekend. I found a dress that was on clearance at dressbarn for $26 and its one of those that you feel great in when you put it on.
Do this. I love umbrella pictures!
The lights above my cube aren't workng. It's dark, and I haz teh sleepies.
I need to get a dress this weekend I guess for Wendi's wedding. I've been trying to wait to see what the weather will be like.
I decided last night I was going to try and cut down on carbs. I totally forgot and walked in to work this morning and ate a bagel.
I am going to make the light coconut shrimp and light Asian peanut noodles for superbowl Sunday. I guess if it fails we can always order pizza!

Is it odd that I love both of these dresses?

OOooh, the belted one is fab!
I agree on both points: the pictures will be extremely cute. Angie, last week I had two lights out in my room (out of 12) and were replaced on Monday. It has made a world of difference in the room and with the kids. I still wish though that we didn't have fluorescents. They can be very hard on the eyes.
Stephie,
The weather should be fine for some shopping tomorrow. I hope you have some luck. I'm done with shopping for the rest of this month.
Tomorrow, I'm going in the morning (or at least this is the plan) to the Embassy Suites in Frisco to see the lady who decorates our prom. She is doing something for the City of Frisco and this year, they wanted a Candy Land theme. I think it's going to look really awesome so I'm going to go check it out. She has great vision and I love working with her. Tomorrow afternoon/evening, I'm taking an older friend (and maybe her husband) to Decatur for her grandson's surprise party. He signed with SFA the other day in football and he's a terrific athlete. Bill and I were invited without having to bring my friend but neither drive very well at night.
My hairdresser alerted me to a "Law and Order" marathon on Sunday before the Super Bowl so that's what I hope to do all day. I'm only watching the SB for the commercials and to check out what Madonna's going to do. I'm also excited to see the return of "The Voice".
Hee, I meant the weather for the wedding. But thanks.

Cute dresses. I have a slight addiction to paisley just not enough to name my kid after it. Our guestroom has an element of paisley as does our room. And a piece of furniture we are working on might end up with some paisley on it.
I like both of those, but I bought one almost exactly like the second one at Dress Barn last year. I was going to wear it to Sarah's wedding before I got sick. Stupid fires....
Wendi posted the other day that the 10 day forecast said sunny and 60.
Bri - I love the first one!
This is a little awish, but my month board just posted this...

It was sweet but I didn't know how to respond.

I hope you show pictures! With all this prom talk I would love to see the end product

I think you responded just fine. And I think you are much prettier!

That is sweet and true. You responded just fine.
Are you going somewhere for Mardi Gras?
I will be cheering on the NY Giants to win the superbowl. I am going to a friends house so I have to find something yummy to take.
Yes we are going to New Orleans. My husband is part of one of the groups there and they have a royal ball there every year. He said you have to go at least once so we are going this year. He will get to ride on a float and we'll have a blast. I'll have a sober blast, but I'm sure I can make it worth the trip.

Are you on Pinterest? It is so great for recipes. (Remember all that awesome book club food I mentioned? Yeah....)

Confirmed. I have been weather stalking and yesterday I saw high of 60, clouds in AM, sunny in PM
I'm not so good with the advice... Can I interest you in a sarcastic comment?
A perfect day for the perfect lady!

This is some speculation but also based on what Bill has told me. All the Android phones are catching up with Apple when it comes to apps, etc. Also, they are less expensive, I don't think they die quite as easily, and, if you're with AT&T, I think you can be a new customer and get unlimited data so long as it's not an iPhone. We were grandfathered in our unlimited data but new iPhone customers after a certain point had limits on their downloads and faced higher prices for going over. I like mine for the most part but it sometimes drives me crazy.
I was an existing AT&T customer & could not get unlimited data. I'm not sure about new phones though.
J has an iPhone - an older one, the 3S I think. It is horrible. We keep our phones for a long period of time, and his has gotten to where it has terrible service and drops calls, and has lots of other problems, where other phones are fine. AT&T sends us to the Apple store, Apple sends us back to AT&T. It was just really enfuriating to deal with them, so that's part of the reason I didn't want an iPhone. Also, I need more than just one button - specifically, I need a back button. My phone is pretty similar to the iPhone in the way it's laid out, but had 4 buttons across the bottom instead of the one. (Menu, Home, Back, Search).
