Re: Randoms/Confessions

  • I confess that I just spent 45 minutes writing up a character profile for the Pathfinder game we're playing tomorrow and not working.  I am burnt out.
  • DH sat up in bed the other night, flipped on the light, and yelled out, BUGS!! There were none. It took some convincing before he believed me.

I love when DH holds me and our breathing slowly gets in sync. Something about it I find oddly comforting.

Confession: DH accused me of hiding the chocolate chips on him. I swore that I did no such thing and directed him to the Tollhouse chocolate chips in the cabinet. He was satisfied, but I did. I hid the good ones.

  • I confess that I'm looking forward to dropping off Toddler Malibu at my parents' tomorrow for an overnight while H and I go to his holiday/Superbowl work party. I feel guilty since I work full time and weekends are my only extended time with her, but sometimes I just can't wait to sleep in.
    Oh, FFS.

    Oh that sounds heavenly lol.

  • My wanting to get KU is amplified by wanting to be able to stop working and start my own something. I know I could do this now anyway, but I'd feel guilty leaving my job for that reason alone.

The funny part is, she's a good sleeper. The kid sleeps till 9 or 10 if we let her (she's 14 months) and always has. But normally I hop out of bed at 8ish on the weekends to try and get ready for the day before she gets up, so it'll be nice not to have to rush out of bed.

    No guilt!

  • I told my dad that almost my entire vacation pay is taken up by visits to and from MN to see family, and I've never been able to actually take time off to go on a real, true vacation for myself over 2 days long. Ever.

This was in response to "so, you're coming to MN this summer for so and so's wedding, plus the state fair, plus lalalalala, right?"

    and

"your mom wants to come visit you for a week (!!!!!) in late April"

So now, I'm saving up to take a vacation at the end of March.  Time to lay down the law...

  • I still feel like discussing bloody valentine and her treasure trove of issues, but I feel like its tacky and overkill because some of you like her, and mental illness is really no joke...but still, she has such a fascinating blend of potentially legitimate issues mixed with that knowitall / know nothing attitude that only a 16-20 something can really master...it enchants me.other things that do ( in case you want to talk about these things, too) are: wiccans, fundies, that lady who let her dog eat her kids face, and...uh...people who include meat in each meal of the day. My confession is that I went to walmart yesterday with fundie hair and a deep v neck tshirt...the juxtaposition was awesome.

    PIP or it didn't happen!

I have no idea why you would have a picture of yourself on your way to Walmart.

Fundies and people that cannot eat a meal without a morsel of meat fascinate me as well. Bring it.

  • Tacky, schmacky. Though I've missed my window for serious gossip and should probably like, take care of my kid or something.

Is this in reference to the mail order bride?  lol

Or are you talking about Edith's hair?

  • The dog behaviorist that we were starting to work with has been sick with the flu for 2+ weeks now. I talked to him last Sunday to reschedule, at which time he told me his doctor thought he should be feeling better by mid-week this week and he'd call to reschedule. Nothing. I understand being sick, but enough is enough for me.

I have another guy lined up and we have a "phone chat" scheduled for 3pm today. I am so exhausted talking about this situation with people who say they'll help with no results. I am literally at my wits end with this situation.

  • 1. An ex of mine is going to be at the Irish wake we're attending tomorrow. I'm really not looking forward to it ... I suspect it will be awkward. Mr. Bang dislikes this guy on principle (this is the guy that asked me to "get coffee" a while back and we all presumed coffee meant sex). The fact that this is happening, and causing a bit of tension with us, on our one year anniversary of dating (I knowwwww), is kind of bumming me out.

    2. We've kind of been having a rough patch lately. I think we're starting to come out of it, but it's just been unsettling.

    3. You must watch this video (baby sloths getting a bath & eating flowers): http://www.youtube.com/watch?feature=player_embedded&v=q1mAGQAw3Oc

  • Ah, yes.

I do believe you are right, Broc.  A good fundie would never show her neck off like that.

  • Food for thought:  My sister's boyfriend believes that the food groups are meat, potatoes, cheesesteaks and pizza.  Also desserts.

He cannot conceive of a meal without meat in it.  My sister is very easily swayed in to the organic everything camp and will occassionally attempt meatless meals and interesting stuff.

It's a weird dynamic.  They have screaming matches about food that usually end with him driving to Wawa and getting a hoagie while she eats whatever it was she made.

Those people are out there.  I know one.

  • I've never 69'd.

    It seems intimidating.

It's overrated. Don't even worry about it.

It totally is. I was cajoled into it after much ... well, cajoling. It was fun, and distracting.

  • I don't really care that all that much about the whole Susan G. Komen and Planned Parenthood thing. I guess that makes me anti-feminist.

I think it is intriguing to the menfolk.  Both of the last two guys I've slept with have mentioned/requested it.

Can I say that my girlies on the interwebs said meh?  That'll be a good enough excuse for me being dodgy, right? lol

I would probably say something along the lines of not enjoying it so much because you find that you just can't concentrate on the task at hand.

If you do go for it, either be on top (so that you can control depth) or lie on your sides.  You'll want to double check that you are clean (since his nose will basically be in yourasshole). Otherwise, you will feel self-conscious the whole time. Also, if you find that you don't like it, you can just stop your side of things because "it feels so good and you got distracted." Most guys like to be manhandled a bit, so flip him over and do what you want to do.
