Re: Who's on?
Oh, nice...I love the mountains. I live in central KY so I'm actually about 4 hours away from Asheville. That's probably nowhere near you now, but my H and I have been dying to go hiking there.
It's funny that you're 25 and have been together with your H 6 years. I just turned 26 and have been with mine since we were 19 also. You don't see that very often!
Stellar, I completely agree! I'm excited. My H works so much that it's also been nice to be able to conform to his schedule. As much as I want a job, I'm going to miss that when I start working again.
Ka429, I just saw your other post. I'm glad others can relate!
Skipping, I just saw that you chimed in too. lol. :::waves::: A neck rub sounds freakin' awesome tonight.
I grew up just outside of Asheville! And I love hiking around there. Waterrock Knob on the Blue Ridge Parkway is my favorite place, but there are so many different trails and places to explore. Devil's Courtyard is another one of my favorites.
I know what you mean about the age thing as well. We were actually engaged for two years. We have basically been an old married couple for years before we got married lol. I know quite a few people who started dating after we did and then got engaged and married years before we did.
I know exactly what you mean, LOL. This was an ongoing joke with my H, me, and our friends because we were engaged almost 2 years also. We laugh about the kid situation too. We got married in June '10 and there have been people who got married after us and started popping out babies already.
I'll have to write those trails down. Our goal is to make it there sometime this year, even if it's just for a day trip.
We usually only make day trips these days, but I've been working on a list of places I want to go hiking in the area sometime this year:
Looking Glass Rock
Grandfather Mountain
Craggy Pinnacle
Pinnacle Park
Clingman's Dome
Chimney Tops
Black Balsam Knob
Eye of Needle at Alum Cave
Waterrock Knob
Graveyard Fields
Mt. Mitchell
Devil's Courthouse
Cataloochee
