Muddle's post made me want to get all nosy and find out what you girls are doing for V-Day.
This is our first Valentine's day with the baby - and right on the heels of us buying a new home and doing CA-RAZY renovation so, I doubt that we're
going out to a restaurant (we don't have a babysitter) so I'll probably do
what I did last year: buy a couple of lobsters and make a triple
mushroom risotto in truffle oil reduction..that was hot sex on a
platter. LOL.
Food is our love. Sex comes 2nd. LMAO.
If I put a cupcake on my hoo-ha, he'd be in heaven. But I save that for *Steak and BJ Day on March 14th.
*Incidentally, I made up a holiday** - Steak and BJ day. So I text my husband the morning of and said "Happy Steak and BJ Day!". He's an ironworker, and happened to be on his coffee break, says to his co-workers, "I forgot, its Steak and BJ day!" they were all confused as to what he was talking about. He explains (forgetting I made the holiday up!) and they were all like "Your wife is awesome!" - What an ass.
**At least I think I made it up..lol
Re: S/O Valentine's Day plans..what are yours?
I think we're going out for supper (just a place close by since I don't really like going out for valentines day), and sex.
oh and I'll probably buy him something small...but I have no idea what yet.
1.) Vagina. Vagina vagina vagina vagina.
2.) You didn't make it up. You're not that original. Steak and BJ day has been around for years.
I'm going toy trawling in seedy sex shops.
He's making reservations somewhere, but won't tell me where we are going.
ACK! Thats awesome. What a great event.
But how are you able to leave without a pup?!!
Hence my "I think I made it up..." - you really are a sweet cuppin cake, arent you?
Actually, you can't adopt during the event. So you can look, but you aren't able to take home. Most of the dogs are in "bedrooms" with windows, but no access to them. So you can watch them, but you can't interact w/ them. You can interact w/ the puppies, they are just in tubs, and the cats.
I like this rule, very smart.
This, obviously. And I have to eat a snack first.
We'll probably just stay at home and make a nice dinner. We haven't decided what we're making yet though.
Dinner at a nice restaurant. We're going to dress up (which we've never done before). I wear suits to work, so once I'm home I don't want to have anything to do with nice clothes. I plan to wear a boobalicious dress and no undies.
I don't know if we're doing presents to each other. There's been no mention of it. We both just had birthdays, so I think we're burnt out on gifts. Maybe I'll get him something super-cheesy like a stuffed animal and a box of drugstore chocolates.
That is SO sweet you guys are going back to where your wedding was!
And DULY NOTED. I will step my game up!!
So, fish and shiits?
At least you'll see your husband. Not everyone does, so consider yourself lucky.
Am I still lucky even though he leaves me to watch 2 monsters all ALONE??
We usually just exchange cards on Valentine's Day. Since it's a weekday, we won't be doing a fancy dinner (I usually make something fancy along with a yummy dessert).
DS will be working, so it will be just the two of us doing our own thing in front of the TV instead of the 3 of us. LOL...we are boring.
Count your blessings, ESD. Not everyone is lucky enough to have to monsters.
I am cracking up over here!
lolololol
I count my blessings because I get fish and shiits.
I'm going to dinner on Saturday, to a restaurant I've always wanted to go to. Mmm. V-day I have choir practice, so no plans on the day itself.
Going to a (Boston) Bruins game! And of course later, sex.
I am not lucky enough to have a husband, two monsters, OR Valentine's Day plans.
We are going out Friday night as a combo late Christmas/anniversary/Valentine thing. On Tuesday we'll probably just have sex.
Last Valentine's Day he called me early in the morning asking if he could stop by to say hi before work in case we didn't get to see each other later (it was one of the days he has the little dude, and I hadn't met the little dude yet). He showed up with flowers and a card. He just looked so cute all rosy cheeked from the cold and a tiny bit shy about it - we had only been dating for a week at this point - I started crying, because I'm ridiculous.
H and I aren't into Valentine's Day. H was just saying yesterday that all the guys at his job are FREAKIN' out about what to do/get for Valentine's Day. They keep asking him what he's doing and he's like "imoan and I decided long ago that we think Valentine's Day is a holiday that is not important to us... we'd rather celebrate Halloween" and apparently this has earned me the Coolest Wife in the Universe award from his coworkers. I really just could not care less about Valentine's Day. I'll probably buy him a card, he'll probably buy me one and maybe we'll order take out (like a normal Saturday night).
Currently Reading: Don Quixote by Miguel De Cervantes
I just rememberd that he brought flowers home for me last year on Valentine's Day. It was a pretty bouquet of flowers from the grocery store.
I wonder if I'll get them again this year. His flower buying has not been consistant, so I really don't ever expect to get them which makes it a nice surprise if I do! I better buy him some Gummisavers just in case!
We will be in San Juan, PR.
We will walk up the beach to this outside bar that we've gone to before and have a few drinks. Dinner will be @ the condo with my parents (not very romantic, but what the heck!)
