I went to dinner with my parents, whom I am visiting, and it was all dramatic because my mom's recently-dumped boyfriend was there (obviously my parents are divorced) and my mom loudly insulted him in front of the whole table and he stormed out. Ugh.

So they recently broke up, but he came to dinner with you anyhow?

Well...no, but he was at the same restaurant and my family (minus my mom) felt bad to see him sitting alone and they invited him to sit with us. He is a very nice guy. My mom just didn't take too well to it.

Isn't it kind of odd that he just happened to be in the same restaurant, alone? Unless you live in a town that only has one restaurant...

I don't know. He goes there all the time, alone. Everyone here seems to go to the same 2 or 3 restaurants on a rotation.
