So... it appears that on April 26th, I'll be flying to Rome, taking a cruise to Barcelona, Monte Carlo, Florence, Sicily, Tunisia (which I'm most excited for). It's all expenses paid. We get a balcony (H and I always get inside staterooms because we would rather spend our money elsewhere). All drinks paid. All excursions paid. Round trip airfare paid.
And then 2 weeks after that... I leave from NJ to Bermuda. All expenses paid.
Do you ever have one of those moments that you realize how lucky you are and you should probably be shutting your effing mouth every time you whine that you have crappy luck? Yeah... that's me right now
And DO NOT reference this on FB if we're friends. H's BFF works with him and he hasn't been told yet (he's not going).

And I'm going to use you as an example whenever someone pulls the "don't marry your prom date" line. Apparently teenage imoan knows how to pick em!
I posted this yesterday afternoon after I spoke to VP.
So, I got up the guts to talk to my boss. And she was UNBELIEVABLE.
I started by asking if our conversation could kind of be off the record, if I could talk to her like she wasn't my VP, because I didn't want something that could be a completely moot point to impact my career here or her thoughts about me.
She essentially said "imoan, going on an all-expenses Mediterranean trip is a once in a lifetime. There will absolutely be other conferences and you would ALWAYS be my first choice to send when they come up. You do SOOOO much for this team and give so much of yourself. You would absolutely not be disappointing me... I don't think I could EVER think less of you. And you would NEVER impact your career in my eyes or in anyone elses. I asked you to give the presentation over even your manager because I thought you would do a better job... but we can absolutely find someone else and it wont even be an issue at all".
I told her I'd make my decision tonight and let her know tomorrow.
Did I mention that, 2 weeks later, I go on my Bermuda cruise?
And when I emailed her this afternoon to tell her I made my decision and I just couldn't pass up the cruise, she was like "OMG, I would've made the EXACT same decision... no question!"

He works in energy efficiency. He basically goes around and finds ways that large companies can make their buildings more energy efficient (lighting, heating & refridgeration, etc)

- a minimal number of senior citizens/ stretchy comfort slack wearing co-cruisers.
- love: exciting and new
