Re: Be Mine Randoms
Happy Valentine's Day lovely ladies!
James fell out of my bed this morning. I feel absolutely horrible! He seems fine, but I can't stop crying about it. He was sitting in the middle of the bed, and next thing I knew he is tumbling head over feet over head towards the ground.
Oh Mira! (((HUGS))) He is ok, right? Try not to feel too guilty!
I know it's hard.
T fell off of our bed when he was 11 months.
Our bed is really high off the ground. T was really scared, but he was fine.
It happens and he is ok. Don't beat yourself up.
Thanks. I think he is ok. He does have 2 small goose eggs. He cried for a bit and then acted fine. He is napping now, and I keep checking on him every 10 mins making sure he is still breathing.
Tee hee, would it make you feel better to know it's not uncommon for a teacher to be called Mom? I bet Mrs. Black gets it the other way a lot too.
Oh man, I'm so sorry! I'm glad he's fine and I understand you want to beat yourself up about it, but you're a great Mama and every kid will suffer a bump and a bruise. Unless you wrap him in bubble wrap.
I did this at least once. I distinctly remember it being one of the most humiliating moments of my life.
Enjoy your night out, Charity.
Mira, when both of my kids did that for the first time, it was awful. Darn increasing mobility! I'm sorry that happened to you guys.
Juli, I know... I actually called my teacher "mom" in *7th grade*. *HE* couldn't stop laughing. Later that month, on his birthday, I accidentaly called him "Mr. Old."
I just had a very random phone call from my OB's office.
The girl on the phone said "We reviewed your U/S and there has been growth. Congrats, you're pregnant!"
"But the doctor wants you to come in again in 2 weeks for another U/S to monitor the baby and growth."
"And we need to schedule a nurse OB visit to get your history."
1) Umm, yeah. Kinda figured I was pregnant.
2) Why do I need another u/s? This will be number 4. I got 1 total with T.
3) I already did this, a month ago, over the phone.
Awesome! We used to go all the time when I was still on maternity leave.
Flameworthy confession: I'm seriously thinking of not applying for that job because I don't want to lose my window seat.
The idea of basking in sunshiny days almost outweighs the experience I will gain from that job.
Thank you for the much needed laugh this morning.
No shame. I don't have a window in my office, and it sucks. I feel mildly depressed because of it. I bet if I had a window in my office to let natural light in, I'd be more motivated and happier at work. There are some days I don't see the sun at all.
Don't feel bad I am Miss T, Daddy, Dan, Mama alot! For some reason Sissy just can't figure out who I am! I just laugh at her. I can't seam to figure out wich kid is which lately. I can't tell you how many time I have asked who are you??? They just laugh at me so I guess I deserve it!
I just had to laugh at H last night.
I am at Meijer doing some grocery shopping and I get a phone call. When I answered I expected hey just so you know we are out of... however he called me to tell me that he just saw this really really cool comertial on tv. I was a bit puzzled to say the least. He kept on going to tell me that there is a new Star Wars lego set out and it the x-wing fighter and it has moveable wings, and shoots stuff, and comes with all these charicters. I am thinking he is telling my for Ran. Boy was I worng. He gets this excited little kid voice and asks me if I will go to the toy department and see if they have it. In the end I bought a $60 lego set for him! He was so excited he carried all of the groceries in the house in 1 trip so that he could play with his Lego's. He is such a DORK!
He told my mom last night that I am the best wife ever! So he gets brownie points!
This is fantastic. My husband is uber excited for when Renee gets big enough to play with legos. He has fond memories of playing with them with his friends- he talks about it often. It's his favorite past-time.
Andy says he wants a kid so he can play trains and setup "awesome tracks" in our basement.
Nerd husbands unite.
This sort of thing is very high on B's pro list.
Oh, friends... they take up a lot of room, but playing with the kids' toys should be on a top 10 of a pro list!
Nick is also excited about sheet/couch cushion forts in the living room.
We got Lego's for SS really early just so they would be around him and when once he got interested in them we started adding to them. Once he started spending hours with them I brought all of my Lego's I had from being a kid over and added them with what DH had. Every once in a while SS will be upstairs and we will hear the tell tale sound of searching through Lego's.
Note for Crafters: I came across some interesting craft options/piece at CompRenew out on 28th ST by Kzoo. They have some neat things in there including paper, fabric swatches, Caps, Sticky things ect. If your looking for some crafty things for kids it maybe worth a look.
Not that flameworthy. I recently lost my window and it makes me sad.
Anyone else excited to see the finish of WKC Dog Show tonight?
Anyone?
Just me?
Okay then.
Working Group (my fav) is tonight.
We'd watch, but I'm sure it's on a channel that isn't a major network, any of our 8 home shopping networks or 12 of our Jesus channels.
duplicate. bow wow.
One of my top 5 "pro-list" items is being able to read to my nonexistent hypothetical child. It would be such a fantastic excuse to spend a small fortune on children's books. L restrains me a bit with the nephews (we buy them books all of the time, but not the quantity of beautiful books I'd prefer). Also, I'd be able to ensure the books were enjoyed and appreciated.
