TIP March Book Club! Winner Announced! WINNER!!!

Okay, the winner of the poll is Watership Down, so get ready for some funky English rabbits doing rabbit things! (or, as Broc points out, "it's a political allegory, though, so it's not like, *about* rabbits.")

I'd like to do an informal poll on what date we might like to choose for our next book club, since it's already mid-February and people might need time to request library books, root through parents' attics, figure out how to torrent the book, etc. So should we still shoot for first week of March, or push it back a bit? What's your March schedule look like, TIP readers?

Re: TIP March Book Club! Winner Announced! WINNER!!!

  • I vote late March- Like the week of the 25th. Is that allowed?

My second vote is sometime before the 11th.

I agree with everything that muddled said. You should listen to her. -ESDReturns
  • Yay for Watership Down.  I vote for the end of March.
  • I vote late March, as I'll be on vacation the first half of March. But if it comes down to it, I can do it from my phone again if the first half is picked to work for everyone else.
    Oh, FFS.

    Yes

  • Late March works for me, too. Any preferences on day of the week?
  • YES! I was convinced I was going to have to read The Other Boleyn Girl again!  I'm so excited to read Watership Down!

The only day that doesn't really work so hot for me is Wednesdays (late shift).  If Wednesdays are the best day, can we start at 8:30EST instead of 8?

  • I thought Friday worked out pretty well. The start time was good, too.

    Oh, FFS.
  • Is Watership Down not in public domain? I can't even rent it as an ebook from my library.

Drat. I'm going to have to pay for it and I don't have enough in gift cards to cover it.

    *Pouts*

  • I mistakenly thought it was public domain, but unfortunately it's not. I ended up checking out a physical copy from my local library, or I'm sure you could find used copies really cheap!
  • But my nook slides right into my purse, available anytime I find myself with a free moment to read. I'm just two dollars short, I just need to suck it up and let them take the money out of my account.
