Re: Wacky Wednesday Randoms
I'm sorry about your grandpa, Molly. I'm glad he went peacefully. T&P for you and your family.
And I'm sorry you have a sick baby
That's the worst. I hope you and T feel better soon.
Oh, my gosh, that's awful! How scary. Well now I feel less like I'm just being paranoid and crazy about chiropractors.
Sorry Des &Mol for your lost and sick kid. You have a lot going on right now.
Starr girl, that is scary about your mom.
I don't, but I probably need to get/make one if I'm going to turn into my mother so quickly. Hehe.
Random: when my mom and I went to Savannah last year, we stopped by a craft show. There was a vendor selling neck wraps made with cherry pits. She had this long list of reasons why cherry pits are better than rice in heating pads. My mom tried it on and loved it. She didn't buy it, though.
Hugs to you and yours Molly.
Wendy- that sounds good. Is there a website for it yet?
Speaking of Crock Pots, I have scalloped potatoes and ham in mine right now for dinner tonight. Trouble is that it smells good and I wish I could eat it for lunch.
I use mine about once a week so I would be sad to have it broken. Hope you can find a replacement soon Deeder.
Kasa, I've seen a chiropractor sporadically for the past 10 years for back and neck issues. I think they can help but I don't buy their need to see you on a regular basis - just when I feel like I need it. But it is scary at the same time because you never know what can happen. My husband thinks they are all quacks and never would see one. Maybe see about a massage? Those always help me.
Meet with 2 babysitters this week for date night and other occasional needs. I think both should work out good. Still nervous to leave my baby with someone though.
Where will these be available for sale? I would like to buy some, please!! Chocolate, coconut and almond is a Hoek house favorite combo.
D&MJ - I am so sorry for your loss. I hope your family feels peace and comfort during this difficult time. Hugs, hugs.
And I hope T feels better soon. Enjoy your cuddle time.
Reciplease!
Very exciting that you found a couple of good sitters! Totally natural to be a little nervous those first couple nights out!
I need to get on finding a sitter for us.
And as I'm writing this, he's whining "i wan noo nacks". And crying.
Hoek, and anyone else, I had to double the recipe because I added too many appricots. If you'd like to swing by, I'd be happy to give you some truffles.
I don't have kids, so maybe this is obvious, but what happens when they really are gone?
lol, no idea. Deal with the crying I guess.
T had 1 bite out of his fifth pack and then lost interest and took a small nap.
His fever is now up to 102. I just gave him a tiny bit of medicine. Ugh.
Awww. At least he was getting some vitamin C from all the fruit snacks. You can get back to proper nutrition tomorrow. Most important thing is to keep him hydrated. Take care of yourself. You need energy, too.
Congratulations!!
Yay!!!
I'm sitting down with a cookie and a glass of milk. I'm really hoping the kids nap, but I'm not counting on it. I need to balance my checkbook and pay my bills before they come downtstairs though.
Yahoo! Congrats!
Crock Pot Scalloped Potatoes & Ham:
6 medium size potatoes peeled and thinly sliced, about 1/2# deli ham chopped up (that's just what I prefer but you can use whatever you want and however much too)
Place that into crock pot and add one can of cream of chicken soup (or any cream soup you prefer - sometimes I use cheddar cheese soup if I want it extra cheesey), Onion and some garlic to taste (I use both Onion, Onion and Garlic, Garlic from Tastefully Simple), and 1 cup of shredded cheese.
Mix it up and cook for 8 hours on low or 4 hours on high. Enjoy!
Congrats on the raise!
WOOT! Awesome, Wop!
Well I made it back from my errands. I was trying to help a friend gather things for her daughters birthday party on Sunday and she isn't the most organized person in the world.
I made it to Target and picked up 2 boxes of Chocolates. I decided the extra box was worth the treat as I found 2 full size sheet sets for $7.49 each. YAY!! SS has sheets and should be set for a while.
Fact: Pinterest has reignited my puppy fever. I did not expect people to post puppy pins!
ETA: Wait... "post puppy pins" or "pin puppies"? I'm still learning the lingo. Pinning puppies sounds violent and sad. But that's probably correct. Or! "Pin puppy pictures." Got it. Bonus points for alliteration. Score.
