Sunday night

Re: Sunday night

  • Miller, it is fast, but I'm pretty tall.  And I actually alternate every 10 minutes.  10 minute at 4.5.  Then 10 minutes at 4 with a 3% incline.  I can keep my heart rate at the recommended 140 with this workout, but I can't believe how exhausted I'm getting from a walking workout.  I know I need to stop putting so much pressure on myself, but this shift from being weight loss focused to reducing my intensity is harder than I thought it would be mentally.  I think it will help once I've discussed all this with my doctor next week.

  • I'm also completely unfamiliar with video games and Gilmour Girl do I'm lost on those references.

I've stepped down my workouts from my (slow) running and high intensity elliptical to a really dorky looking power walk at 4.5 mph.  I'm really surprised that this doesn't feel easier.  I've already noticed that I feel winded more easily.  I feel so out of shape.  I mean, not that I was "in shape" before, but I at least used to feel really awesome about my intense for me workouts.  I'm rambling.  I'm so sleepy.

HAHAHAHAHA. I never even make it past 4.0!! And I thought I was really going fast!! No wonder why I'm still on Jenny!!

  • Christin I imagine the shift is going to be tough. And yeah, your fatigue and food issues are going to affect you. But you will adjust. Although my loss was much before I got pregnant it was still hard to adjust to that. But we are here for you and I'm sure your doc will reassure you.
  • Holy effing shiit. Sleepy Ernie is at the bottom of a box all of a sudden going "I FEEL GREAT!" over and over out of the blue.

B doesn't want to dig him out because he thinks Ernie might pull him in.

    Ernie is scary.

Both main characters are named Lorelai, they call the daughter Rory for short. I just always loved the name. For male or female.

But hey, what do I know, I gave my daughter a boys name.

  • Yea, I'm practically trotting at a 4.
    image Ready to rumble.
  • I had a crush on a male Rory till he graduated a year ahead of me. It was not a nickname for anything.
  • imagewingedbride:
I expect few people here to like my names. And seriously people, you know it's not going to be George or Sam. We are just stuck on boy names though. Girl names came so easily. And Hezz, Thayer is a Brit name.

But you have good names.  Does Mr.Winged not like them?

Rori is the name of the daughter on Gilmore Girls.  I kinda like Rory for a boy but I think most people will think it's a girl's name.  Wren is pretty but really reads feminine to me.

It's so nice to have a place to vent a little.  And to have people talk me down from my crazy.  I need to stop looking around at the gym and saying "look what he's doing!"  "Look how fast she's going!"  I'll get there.
    image
  • He doesn't like my other boy names Fallin. But, I think he's convinced it's a girl and just won't say it out loud.

Do you think it's a girl?

I meant to page you the other day and say that Dagger is beautiful.

You will. I was convinced I would be one of those uber fit pregnant women because I was at the gym 4 days a week up until then. My philysical issues were mentally challenging for me. I was so upset that my plan was not going to happen. I like plans. I hate change.

I don't have a strong feeling either way. I did moreso with Dagger but wanted a boy so I was afraid to admit it   Eta: and thank you!
  • I'm here. J is working a night shift and I'm preparing dinner for myself. Jo is in bed early and fast asleep.

  • I like the name Rory for a boy, I know one so even though I watched Gilmore Girls, I don't automatically assume girl. I like Wren but for a girl.  I'm not sure about Thayer.

At least Mr. Winged voices his opinions, Bob has me paranoid that she'll get here and he'll be all "I'm not sure about the name we picked but I have no better ideas" and then I'll Hulk Smash everything and the nurses will be afraid to let me hold the baby.

I'm pretty sure it's pronounced your mom's a moron and if you didn't have your name legally changed by the age of 22, so are you. Unless you're from another continent. -Groomz

I came up with 3 more boy names this weekend that Mr. Winged is on board with- Thayer, Rory and Wren.

I'm not on board with these.

ETA: Wait.  Are these girls?  Wren and Rory are fine for girls (though Rory seems like a nickname).  Thayer is only good if you birth a videogame character.

I like Rory. that goes well with dagger's name. Thayer just seems like you're trying to get him to middle earth. "Thayer son of winged, son of thorn, son of thadomir, and so on." Wren is female to me.

    image Josephine is 4.
  • Ren is definitely male! Ren McCormick- Footloose!

Gotta cut loose. Footloose. Kick off your Sunday shoes...

  • Mike suggests Renn.
    image Ready to rumble.
  • Yay no work tomorrow! Watching community reruns and postinc from my phone bc i'm updating my OS. Wren is a girl, all the male rorys i've known have been dlcks. Thayer reads as trust fund blue blood to me.

  • I like the idea of Winged's second being like a tiny Alex P. Keaton.  "A rock concert mom?  Seriously?  Can't we see the Philharmonic or something?"  All while rocking a sweater vest and some wee penny loafers.
    image
  • I like them all, actually. I like Rory a lot and if we have a girl the next go round it'll be either Stella or Laureli.

What are your girls names? And I'm with Mr. Winged. I think you're having a girl.

Thats creepy TSD. My MIL bought my nephew one of those creepy puppies that talks  and has buttons on his tummy and hand and says "I love you" all creepy like. My SIL tried to pass it down to E and I refused to let it in the house.

  • If you name your kid wren, don't be surprised when you find him dancing out his anger in a barn.

My treadmill speed has been slowly creeping lower and lower.  I rarely make it go faster than 3.2 these days, and it's getting harder to convince myself that it's even worth doing.

  • How far along are you Boxer?  What speed did you start out at?  I'm curious as to what I'll be able to do later in pregnancy.

You CAN stay active, it's just a different kind of active. All you preggies and preggies-to-be need to remember that. I know pregnancy isn't an illness but remember that your body is still doing something ALL THE DAMN TIME. You can be active! Christin, stop worrying, you look freaking fantastic, and will continue looking freaking fantastic. Stop worrying, worriers.

  • Oh, and tonight we went to the grocery store, it snowed (!), we had tacos and watched the walking dead. And it was a good episode! They are finally picking up the pace. I was clenching my butt cheeks with in suspense several times. Let's just pretend the first half of season 2 never happened. I got Alison to go to sleep pretty well by letting her do the hold still...wigglewigglewigglewigglewiggle dance for like ten minutes straight.
