I am in shock. I fell the floor and cried.

Also, my husband just left for a jazz concert that I had no interest in attending. And the only person I know locally who took the bar in July is on a plane to Atlanta right now.
So, I'm home alone. I am drinking and I've ordered celebratory sushi. But, I am too elated to feel lame.

I am still in shock. I keep reading the words over and over and having my husband read them over for me.
I have no plans for the evening. I thought I was going to fail, so I didn't want to do anything. But at this point, I would be happy picking garbage off the road I am so elated!!!

I was so scared that I was going to fail that I didn't tell my husband which day they'd be announcing results. He bought tickets to this thing ages ago, and he felt really bad for leaving me here after I got the news.
I wouldn't let him in the room when I checked. I totally stared at the page for a good 30 seconds because it wasn't what I thought it would look like and I couldn't figure out if I passed or failed. I think I was too nervous to actually read anything on the screen.
And then I made him read the page over a couple times to make sure I wasn't imagining things.

A friend of mine from law school who took the CA bar twice referred me to this blog back in June when I started studying. The guy first took the CA bar in July 2007 and has been blogging about his experiences, prep classes, etc. I skimmed through it back over the summer, and it was actually a pretty informative blog. The guy seemed to have a very rational outlook on life.
Looks like he failed for a 3rd time. Ouch. Poor guy.
Makes me that much more thankful for my own good news.

Except, I feel like a royal douche bag b/c I called my bff last night around 9 b/c I hadn't heard from her yet to see how she did. And she didn't do well and it didn't sound as if she appreciated me calling her to find out. She could hardly talk. I feel awful for her and it's putting a damper on things.

That totally sucks. You shouldn't feel bad though...if it had been the other way around, she would have called you. It's a natural reaction.
I would give her a few days and if you still haven't heard from her, send a totally non bar related email about anything funny or light or interesting, and add that you hope she's doing well and you are there if she needs anything. After a few days of explaining that she didn't pass to people, she'll probably appreciate not having to talk about it with someone.
