  • Agreed-depends. He has been to two of my 5K races but they were b/c we were meeting up with some friends afterwards.

I'm a Special Snowflake because DH and I run all our races together. We've only been running for about 18 mos., but did 12 races last year and one so far this year - we usually plan them together.  He got hurt and couldn't do the November and December races, but he came with me.  I can't imagine him not coming and vice versa, but this may change with time and frequency.

This is me too. H and I try to pick races we both want to do.

  • I don't have a SO right now. But my dad has been to all my races :)

  • DH comes with me to one or two cyclocross races a year and races. He didn't last year b/c he was injured, but he drove me to my weekend of races that was 4 hours away and cheered me on. He couldn't ride anyway that weekend b/c he just got injured.

He doesn't come to any of my mountain bike races. He gets bored. He'd rather be riding. I don't blame him. You only get to see the person once every 30-45 minutes. It is boring.

  • Never. Sometimes I think all we have in common is an address.

  • He comes to most and brings DD to cheer.  Or some he runs with me and we have a babysitter at home.  He's missed a handful of smaller races that I didn't mind if he wasn't there (our local road runners club has some awesome races, but I don't see much need to have a cheering squad).  DD and I also go to all of his except the smaller local ones that he doesn't need us there for.

Depends on his work/school/volunteer schedule.  If he's available, he will come.

Of course, now that he's running more races, he's there because he's running too!

This. DH works a wacky schedule so it really depends.
