Re: Tell me what's bugging you today

  • Cramps! I think they must be ovulation cramps or something based on the timing, but all I can think is "Holy ***, what if my Mirena punctured my uterine wall and it's floating around stabbing me in the guts?"

ETA: Wait, I have a Mirena. That means I shouldn't be ovulating. Curses, it's definitely the floaty-stabby explanation!

  • My head hurts.

And I did my glucose tolerance test yesterday.  I can't decide if I want to pass it or fail it.  If I pass, awesome.  If I fail at least I have a reason to stop eating all the sweets I want (and I want a LOT of them lately).  I know I know, I should cut down regardless.

  • My laptop won't authenticate so I can't access network drives.  Other people logging on to my machine with their creds do authenticate.  It's just me.  We spend so much time together and he hates me.  Crying
  • I've had three migraines in as many days.  I haven't missed any work because of them (thanks to the timing), but I'm still sensitive to light and sound this morning.  My morning meeting was contentious, so some mild shouting erupted.  I considered disassociating and floating up to the ceiling, but my presence was required to break up the verbal sparring.

Also, I hate when I get deodorant marks on my clothes.  It doesn't matter how invisible the product claims to be, it always happens.  I'm convinced this is why cardigans were invented.

    This is my siggy.

I'm having an awesome day.  Did a little retail therapy last night, the girls on ML just totally boosted my ego and I'm eating a tasty salad with an ice cold Diet Pepsi!

But if I can pick one thing... it's people who are negative on Facebook.  There are a few people I'm friends with that EVERY SINGLE TIME they post on Facebook, it's something completely negative.  I rarely am negative on FB... most of my posts are about cool things that make me happy or something.  It's bad enough that you post negative things on FB... but when it's ALL you post?!  You have a real problem.

Finally, word! It is telling me that things are wrong when I know they are right damnit and it is throwing me off.

  • My friend who every year suggests staying at a different hotel for our all girl weekend (I organize it) but 1- hasn't even gone on the trip in a few years, and 2- never steps up to do the legwork.  Expects me to do it.  I organize, I dont' research!

  • My stomach hurts REALLY bad. Like, I didnt fall asleep til 4am because of it. Not sure what it is. :(

    And my sinuses.

And the baby is teething, and she's not crying at all, but whiiiiiiiiiiiining, and nothing is helping. Poor kid. Poor me! LOL

AND, we've watched Sesame Street (same episode because she's obsessed) 50 trillion times today. "The Latinization of Marco" - Amigo, Amigo!!

    Kill me now.

Baby Birthday Ticker Ticker ...here is the deepest secret nobody knows (here is the root of the root and the bud of the bud and the sky of the sky of a tree called life; which grows higher than the soul can hope or mind can hide) and this is the wonder that's keeping the stars apart I carry your heart(I carry it in my heart)
  • My H is probably going to get murdered today.

Last night I put Joaquin to bed and then started looking for the monitor, since I was pretty sure she got a hold of it.  This is usually a 10 minutes tops exercise.  I can't find that sh*t anywhere.  I'm pulling apart the couch, going through every single bit of everything I can think it could possibly be.  About a half an hour goes by and my H comes to 'help'.  This means that he is mirroring my movements about a minute behind me.  I take out every last DVD from the DVD drawer and replace it, he takes out every DVD... and then leaves it out.  So I tell him to knock it the f*ck off, and he goes and sits at his computer so I can keep looking.  Like 20 more minutes go by, and I admit defeat, so I go to see what he's doing so we can discuss what to do (ie, who's sleeping on the couch).  THE MONITOR WAS ON HIS F*CKING DESK THE WHOLE TIME.  He says, 'oh yeah, I had it while you were showering this afternoon.  haha?'

He had better be buying me diamonds or some sh*t today because holy sh*t dudes.

Because you look great in that photo. I love the sweater. It's a great color on you. You should do color more often.

I agree with everything that muddled said. You should listen to her. -ESDReturns

You could always send him to see The Vow with Joaquin in tow.  That'll cure him.

Yeah, I know you're right.  You know it's bad when your H buys you a pink Gilmore girls t-shirt purposely because you never wear colors other than gray, dark blue and black.

It's weird... because I'm all about color in everything else in my life.  If it comes in a fun color- that's the one I want.  But for some reason, my clothes are the least colorful thing about me.

I'm going to add the people saying the sister shouldn't tell her H she boned someone else.  Cheating is bad, but as long as you lie about it, it's fine!  WTF?

  • Andplusalso, I started running before work again now that Physical Therapy is over.  I forgot how hungry it makes me.  I would cut someone for a muffin right now.

Yeah, agreed.  It's not all about punishing the cheater, idiots - it's about the husband having the right to make informed choices about his own damn life.

ed:  I should mention that I didn't poop today, so I'm feeling more than a little irritable and combative.

I had one I FINALLY defriended because she kept talking about "Haters" all the time.  Um, if you have SO many haters, YOU might be the problem.  Just sayin'!

They're the worst.  If you can't even manage a semi-positive post every once in awhile, either stop posting, or off yourself.  I don't know what else to tell you!

Both of these.  Although I refrain from giving advice to the OP on cheating because more than anything else I think she shouldn't be involved in her sister's marriage.

  • It bugs me that imoan things she's fat, because, um, no.

  • I am also annoyed that after a huge honking religious debate in an abortion post on S&R, I started an actual religious debate rather than a sinner pile-on, and despite over 300 views, I only have seven responses.  Seven!

Not only should she stay out of it, but I would be pissed my sister told me if she wanted me to keep it secret.  If she told me because she was going to tell her H and I could be there for the aftermath, fine; if she told me to make her decision for her/keep her secret, hellllll no!

  • Well, I watch WAY too much TV, but I'm pissed that I missed American Idol and keep reading about the great performance and it is not on On Demand.

ALL TV shows should be on On Demand. It is the future!

  • I have a huge story due next week but my editors won't actually leave me alone so I can work on it.

My doctor told us to wait three cycles after my miscarriage in December to try again. I don't really understand why so I called yesterday to talk to them about it. The nurse told me it was so my hormones would go back to normal; I told her my HCG was already at 0 two months ago. She says "other hormones" but can't tell me which hormones she's talking about. Now I'm even more frustrated with it because I feel like they aren't giving me a good answer.

We're having a lot of work done on the house right now (roof, bathroom, kitchen and laundry room renovations) and it's taking forever. I am looking forward to all the improvements on our home but I'm looking forward even more to being able to park in my d@mn driveway again.

    this bugged me too!

  • Also, I was whining this morning to abs and ESD in chat about how stupidly expensive Nook books are, especially compared to their paperbacks.  I wanted to buy The Help, and it's 9.99 on Nook, but 10.98 for paperback.  WTF.  Well, I just got an email from Barnes & Noble for an awesome buy 2 get 1 free deal!

    ON F*CKING PAPERBACKS.
