Wake up!!!! Happy Thursday!
I know the majority of you have been up for hours now. But the board is so sleepy so hence the wake up!
Its Thursday! Thank goodness. Its been a long kind of week. E's having some scheduling trouble with school for next quarter and I'm frustrated that school allowed him to do something this quarter but they are saying that its now allowable by the GI bill so he can't do the same next semester. I'm not sure if we will have to pay money back or not. I'm freaking out. Other than that its just another Thursday. We are helping friends move tonight so that should be fun.

This week feels like it is crawling! I'm at work looking at some shows that are coming into town to play at our Civic Center. I think I'm going to buy tickets to the Cirque show that's coming in May.
Tonight I am going to Zumba and maybe painting the trim around our house. We got the walls done last night, just have to do trim patch work. We're having Crock Pot Beer Chicken Tacos tonight, which I'm super excited about too.
I spent the morning looking for something to wear for this shoot. Finally found a top at Target that looks good
now my friend and I are about to head out.
Tonight H and I are having dinner with my parents.

As a fresher. and he said it was really helpful. It was an AC DC electronics course. He wants to do the same thing this quarter too. Ugh I don't know. Its like having the credits transfer was a bad idea. And the honest to goodness truth is that had he been told by his advisor originally that he couldn't do it he wouldn't have but the advisor was like " oh no biggie, people do that all the time". And now this time he is like " oh you can't do that". I told E just to drop it and just do the 2 classes next quarter instead of the 3 he was suppose to take but he wants answers since in our opinion the school screwed up by allowing him to do that the first time.

Afton - He shouldn't take classes that the MC gave him credit for. Is there a way he could meet with someone in his department that could help him re-work his credits? Like, my school gave me 21 credits toward Law Enforcement classes but weren't sure what specifically they should give me credit for. So I met with the department head of Law Enforcement and we talked about my experience/current job/etc. and he was able to switch a few for things I had experience in and things I didn't. Like giving me credit for the drug trafficking class since I was working for a narc team at the time but then I had to take criminal law because he wanted me to learn my state laws. Does that make sense?

Another working day but not anticipating getting much done. The bosses are all out of office for a conference through the end of the week and my supervisor is on vacation. It's a recipe for boredom and I'm anxious since I know that next week will be when all the projects will hit us and be due all at the same time.
I'm also restless since it is an absolutely gorgeous day outside and all I want to do is go to a park or start mulching my garden and get the weeds pulled/sprayed. A bit too windy for the beach IMO (good luck with that photoshoot Mary).
Then there is my L's GS leader. L is in the top 3 for sales this cookie season (Go L!!) and so it is taking a little longer to get all these cookies delivered. Money was due last night at her meeting; but we just haven't been able to deliver them all yet so I didn't have the money to turn in. I don't get why the leader has her panties all in a bunch though since her other troop has until next Wed. to turn in the money and all the final monies aren't due until the 13th (and a 10 day grace period on top of that!)
So I feel like she is trying to bully me into turning in the money (even if it means writing a check OOP for the remaining cookies - almost $80 worth; ain't gonna happen sweet cheeks). I'm 98% certain I'll be able to deliver the rest of the cookies by Saturday so I can definitely get the money to her on Sunday when L has her last cookie booth. I don't take kindly to being bullied so she's hitting a brick wall with me. Plus she may be out a girl in her troop next year; this is just kind of a proverbial straw with me and I'm ready to put L into a different troop.

It makes sense. And it was his department head that said that taking the AC DC course again was okay. I think the guy found out later that its not okay so thus where we are now. I keep telling E just to drop the conversation about repeating this other class the quarter. Ugh. I wish he would let me be more involved in this. He's not as " understanding" of all this as he thinks he is. I'm going to talk to him tonight and see what else he found out from the department head, he was suppose to go talk to him today. And I have a feeling that its kind of like what you just said for last quarter, they moved the credits around so he could take that class. From what E was explaining to me last night the department head said he had nothing he could put him in in place of the class he can't take so that's why he can only take two classes. Do you know if we will have to pay anything back for the class he did take? Thanks for your help S!

I'm currently trying to find some motivation to get some work done. I've had little to no motivation for a month now and that's not a good thing since my cubicle partner is on maternity leave and I'm doing most of her work in addition to mine. I think I need to take a week off to get my motivation back.
I'm making A call our hair lady (yes, our, we have both known her forever and both go to her) to see if I can get in today for highlights now that I'm in the "safe" stage to do it and it needs it desperately!
I also need to call David's Bridal and make an appointment so I can get my dress exchanged. We have a little over 3 months before the wedding and I'm starting to stress out because we have virtually nothing done!
Tonight we are going out to dinner with my mom, sister, and bil for my mom's birthday which was Tuesday. We can't do it tomorrow night because bil is in a bowling league and heaven forbid he actually miss a night. Can't do it Saturday because my sister's fil will be in town and they are doing dinner. Whatevs, as long as my kid has time to get her homework done before bed, I guess it's fine.

I wouldn't worry too much about it. Sometimes it takes the VA a while to catch up on things but if the school got it approved initially then I don't think it will be an issues as long as he doesn't keep trying to do it. KWIM?
Okay cool thanks. It was partly my fault that I encouraged him to retake it to begin with. I'm going to have to watch what the school allows like a hawk now. Thanks for your help S.

Today, I have a lot to do! I gotta finish cleaning the house because the IL's are coming in tonight to stay the weekend with us. They also asked if they could watch E while we go on a date tomorrow night. Little did they know, it's exactly what we need. Husband and I haven't been on a real date in, well, a very long time. Needless to say, I'm really looking forward to it!
I'm also debating if I should do my TF (Turbo Fire) work out now, or later. Decisions, decisions.
