Thursday Randoms/Confessions/Vents/AW's
Re: Thursday Randoms/Confessions/Vents/AW's
Two more things -
Random - my CW that passed away last November, her SIL just messaged me on FB and asked me to check her old office to see if a plant that she'd sent to her was in there. The office has since been cleared out, painted, and given to another person. Also deceased CW's husband and daughters cleared out her office after she passed, before it was cleaned and painted. So, if anyone has said plant, it's probably them. I felt bad that I couldn't help her but I think it's unrealistic to expect a plant to still be in there 6 months after the CW left work and 4 months after she passed.
Also I have a LOT of weight to lose y'all, and I don't know where to start. I've been tracking my calories using MyFitnessPal and trying to squeeze in exercise where I can, but with mine and Guy's opposite work schedules, Ellie and I are alone in the evenings and I have no one to watch her for me while I work out. I'm trying not to cop out already and give up but damn it's hard to lose weight.
And on a related note, my whole teenagehood and early 20's I thought I was SO FAT, but the other day I realized that the whole time I was at the exact perfect ideal weight for my height. And now I would give anything to just be that weight again.
Ok I feel a little better:) I gained 40!!!

Vent: DH is on my last nerve this week. He is so disorganized, and he can't find two important docs that are necessary for our taxes to get done, and I know it will take him weeks to chase them down. I went into his office last night to help him look for them, and I almost screamed, it is a royal mess in there.
Confession: I'm working from home, and doing my best to stay motivated, but it is really hard. The annoying thing is that I have a lot to do, I'm just so unmotivated. I keep staring at the couch and thinking about a nap.
AW: Two days from now I will be in sunny Florida! Primarily for a work conference, but this girl added on a day before and a day after to get poolside. So excited!
I hope you know that no one here thinks that. *hugs*
This is me all the time! I look at pictures from when Jay and I first started dating and I think, omg I was so skinny. But, everyone else around me (who had much smaller frames and were minimum 6" shorter than me) were so skinny and I was faaaat. Oh well, to be young and foolish
Keep up with tracking your calories, it's probably the best thing in the long run. What I have found works best for me is high protein/lower carbs (but not no carbs!) and I try and include my full daily intake of fiber and include foods that naturally increase my metabolism (green tea, citrus fruits, spinach, drinking ice cold water and oatmeal) in what I eat.
As for working out, I've been a member of the First Shift Widows Club since 2006 (ok I was a FI at first but same difference) but I can't imagine how you do it with Ellie too. My only suggestions are: if you can do a gym (there are ones that do different rates for different amounts of gym access) look for one that has some child care services; are your sister and BIL close enough they you guys could take turns each week watching each others kids? (I assume if this was the case you would be doing it already but thought I'd ask). One more suggestion, turn what you and Ellie do in the evening into a workout/activity game. If you're watching tv every time a commercial comes on get up and jog in place or do jumping jacks and have Ellie do them too; she'll probably think its a silly game and love it. And, as much as you might not want to take time away from your family on the weekends taking an hour each day to workout would not be the end of the world and you'll probably feel a lot better.
Definitely!
Im fairly certain I gained 50 or 60!!! I stopped looking and wouldn't let them tell me :-( have you seen Nate?? He's a giant hahahaha I kid I know it doesn't have anything to do with it!

AW: We just booked our trip to Cancun!!!!
Confession: DH and I bought Gigi's cupcakes on our way home from the travel agent.
Congrats to both my TTC buddies, Amberley18 and sb2006 on their beautiful babies!
Regardless if you have one or 5 children, it was still yours and it was still a loss and you have every right to hurt emotionally.
AW: Jesse and I are finally mastering BFing and I don't want to cry when he's hungry!!
Random: We are planning to move back to MD by fall. That's right, Watch out DC niners. I can't wait. This place is starting to get to me, sorry dbucks... Lol.
AW: I'm starting to do newborn/baby photography and I hope to go professional by summer. I love it. It feeds my love for babies, creativity and shopping for props all in one thing I can actually get paid for! Plus, I can stay home with Jesse.
Random: I love this weather but it freaks me out.
Confession: I miss you guys! I wish I was here more. I try to keep up so I don't miss out.
Those are both awesome things. When are you going?
Stand up for something you believe in.
We're going the first week of May. We're staying at a couples' only AI called the Sun Palace. Google it and drool. It's purdy
Congrats to both my TTC buddies, Amberley18 and sb2006 on their beautiful babies!

Lol umm...yea, why do you think we both got out there within a month of graduating and never moved back? Part of me will always miss having the ocean a five min walk away, but living there is a mess. We're moving back to NC, but not the beach. Good luck with your move!
