I'm really late on this - but I had a very generic birth plan - just basically the order of drugs that I wanted if necessary, it really was just for me & dh
the hospital that we went to does 'classes' where they demonstrate how to bathe a baby, then you do it yourself, with their help if you ask for it. It was brilliant - they had some really good suggestions on how to wrap them up between washing the head & body,etc
yes we didn't wash dd until like day 3 i think? I wiped the blood off her head on day 1, but otherwise she was pretty 'clean'
