Confessions/Flamefuls

It's been a while since we've had any good ones.

Anyone?

Re: Confessions/Flamefuls

  • Speaking of confessions, now and then I wish that the TIP Postsecrets were still around.  That was entertaining.

I was thinking about that the other day too.  Now that our evil overlord is posting more, maybe she can resurrect it.

    This is my siggy.
  • I confess that I did not wake up and run this morning like I had intended.  It was 26 but felt like 20 and I wimped out.  I'll do it on Thursday.

I deserve to be flamed because I'm insanely tempted to cut my GMAT Prep class tonight.  It cost $325 and this is the last one, but I really want to go home and go to bed instead.

This Finnegans Wake thing really took the wind out of my sails last night.  It messed up my sleep and I just can't come to a final decision.

Don't read it. There, I made the decision for you. HTH!

  • Buy yourself a coffee on the way to GMAT class...as a reward for making it through! It's the last one, you can do it!

I confess that I feel like a lazy slug because I haven't really been able to exercise for the past week and a half and I HATE IT. It's amazing how great those endorphins are...you get used to having them charging you up at all times. All I want to do is sit around until I feel all better and it SUCKS.

Add it to the bonus list. Skip it now and then you can go back to the less obvious references later.

I suck at gifs, so just imagine one of someone running around in insane excitement, slamming into a wall, and splatting on the ground.

    AHhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh!

    Pretty much this.
  • BF has been asking a lot of child-rearing questions lately ("how do you feel about X", "would you do Y?").  Am I supposed to know the answers to these questions?  Last night's had something to do with teenagers and how they dress.  I mean, I don't know what I'd do if my kid was a goth.

If I didn't have a NuvaRing, I'd be checking my pill packs right about now.

    This is my siggy.
  • I've road "raged" twice in the last 24 hours and I'm not sure what my major malfunction is.  The first time was last night in the grocery store parking lot. The truck infront of me stopped to let pedestrians cross so of course I stopped behind him. The car behind me just pulled around both of us and barreled through the cross walk. I yelled something about her needing to pull her head out of an orifice.  Then coming home for lunch some dude was FLYING down the feeder road. Speed limit is 50 and he was exceeding that by a long shot.  Somehow my presence on the road bothered him and he started honking and waving and giving me the bird.  So I returned the favor followed by a BIG thumbs down.
  • I've been dating using an online dating site.

The only photos I included of myself are photos pre-weight loss.  With the exception of one face close-up from a few months ago.

I've thought about changing them so people can see the skinnier me, but sometimes it helps to know the people I've gone out with would accept me at a heavier weight, too. Unconscious screening system?

And...MUDDLED, YAY! Although, since I am not ready to breed, at first I thought you meant temp work, like an office assistant. Did not compute.

Make sure he didn't change it out while you were sleeping with a jelly bracelet. The Nuva Ring always reminds me of a jelly bracelet.

LOL! Yeah, I guess that wouldn't make much sense.

FTR, we are not actually trying. We are just trying to make in easier in preparation for when we do decide to try, which now seems more likely than not instead of the other way around.

Morty is right. If your ring turns purple, watch out!

How the heck do you know the answers to these questions? We talk about that stuff to get a feel of how each of us would handle shiit and to see if we are on the same page, but I am absolutely positive that these answers will not be valid or even remembered 15 years down the road.

We only did that with the big stuff and it was prior to conception. It was stuff that would end the marriage if we were pitted against each other.

I'm of the mind that you really have no idea how you'll react until it happens when your kid breaks curfew or you catch them smoking.

  • I keep reading one of the links on the Home Page as February Feng Shui TIP, and then I have a little reverie about what Feng Shui TIP would be like.

  • My period is 2 days late. I do not feel PMS-y at all, so this is ... confusing, mostly, at the moment.
  • None of these are really flameful. I have one.

If you aren't stylish, I 95% discount your opinions on fashion. I'm looking at you boots+dresses people.

  • I sleep with a stuffed animal....eep. I started when Dh was in Iraq just for something to hug onto and now do it because it helps me sleep haha. It's my sons tigger I sleep with and dh doesn't care. Am I weird of what?!

I sleep with a teddy bear sometimes when my stomach is upset.  Pressing it against my belly helps.  I do not flame for this.

So do I.  I sleep with Pokey every night... and have since I got him when I was 2 years old.  And he doesn't have a face any longer because, when I was 17, our rottweiler got him and ate his face.  And I cried like a baby when it happened.

A stressful month can throw you off. Don't worry yet, but if you can't help yourself, go ahead and test.

Whenever I am late, my period magically arrives the day I decide to confess my concerns.

Due to some domestic issues** as of late, I have partaken in the fine art of retail therapy. I now have a very pretty Kitchen Aid mixer and the charge was taken out of H's paypal account.

**H is currently under the care of a psychiatrist and a psychologist. He's on watch and knows that he has some major work to do before I can fully forgive him... and I'll never forget. Not adultery or physical abuse, FWIW. Some diickish words that he can never take back.

    I'm sorry srs!

The only flameful thing that I can think of right now is that I am unreasonably sad that DD has outgrown most of her clothes. I should be excited that I get to go shopping with her for some new ones, but at the same time-- its so quick!

We are also contemplating moving the crib into our master bedroom. DD just won't sleep in a room separate from me. We've tried some very limited CIO, and Sleep Solutions. Everything from the doctor. If she is in the co-sleeper (which she is getting too big for /cry) she will be fine. However, I've tried for the last two weeks to get her to nap in the crib in her room (fail) and even part of the night in there (huge fail).

We want to get more sleep, and she seems like she is just not ready to sleep by herself yet. I would love for her to be ready, but by all accounts it appears that she is not.

  • we did cio at 6 mo and it really helped as ds was ebf and didnt take a bottle till 8 mo! So I did every feed and he was waking about 6 times a night and I was going nuts. 4 mo is too early but I would try at 6. Now he sleeps 11-13 hours strait since 6 mo and he is almost 16 mo. Does wonders for sanity and baby is so happy. He gets his tigger every night and goes to sleep. Sometimes he cries or is restless but we keep him on his schedule and he does good. It is usually harder to break sleep habits you don't like when they get older. My sil complains about her ds sleep habits but doesn't do anything about it. Just makes comments about how I am lucky mine sleeps....but we did training to get it that way. I hope it gets better soon
