Mine:
IHO of Mort's post, I cut my own hair the other night.
And then FI cleaned it up in the back where I couldn't see it. I always tell my stylist not to leave a bunch of hair on my neckline because it grows out and I look ridiculous, so I usually always end up cutting it off myself. She gets pist, but oh well.
I think it might be time for me to break up with my hairdresser. I have no idea how to do this. HALP.
Re: Thursday Confessions
You don't have to break up with her, just quit going there and go somewhere else.
I made a work confession in Motzie's thread, but I'll make a mini hair one here...
I made an appointment. I'm going ginge on Saturday. Ahhhh!
Ohh I can't wait to see you as a ginger BBE, you must must must post pics!
Oh I definitely will. I might be crying in them, but I'll still post them.
My confession: I am going to laugh my ass off at abs if she cries. lol.
Also, my hair makes me crazy. If I attempt a hairstyle it looks like sh*t. If I take a shower and go to bed and roll around on it all night it looks awesome. Up your butt, hair.
Lucky you! That does not sound like a problem to me.
Yeah, DL, don't tell her anything. Just stop going. Unless, per chance, you are switching to someone else in the same salon?
I can't wait to see all the new hair cuts. This is making me want to run to the bathroom with a pair of scissors.
Eh, maybe I'll just go to Target and get a box of dye instead.
I judge people who drink during pregnancy (I'm talking more than a glass or two). I also judge people who don't think that their "lives should change" because they are pregnant or have a toddler. I judge hard and I can't stop the eyeroll.
Similarly, (this might be flameful) I judge the few people who think that somehow they are qualified to determine who will be a fit mother. This confession is inspired by two different posts while I was lurking on TB.

Party like a wild child prior to getting pregnant, but FFS when the strip turns pink a lifestyle makeover is in order IMHO.
Case in point, I took a shower when I was going into labour, writhed around and went under with wet hair, and it ended up looking amazing. f*ckin.... f*ck.
I had my hair cut a few months ago with lots of choppy layers all over and I was super happy about it... but now its growing out and I want to light it on fire because all the shorter layers are awkward lengths and stick out when I try to do anything fun with it.
Thats not really a confession though so, uh.... yesterday I was ready to rape anything that moved. I took care of myself the minute I got home... 4 times.
You would laugh at my tears??? Stone cold biitch!
Also, I cry every time I do a major hair change. The first time I got that short bob I used to have, I loved it at the salon and then cried for an hour that night. And also, the three times I got it trimmed after that.
So yeah, there will most likely be crying.
Ok now I'm laughing too. LOVE YOU.
I'm the exact opposite about my hair. I really don't care about major changes to it, I generally like to do drastic things occasionally and I don't think I've ever had a *bad* haircut. As long as its not a mullet I can deal.
Also I'm doing my own touch-up dye job tonight.
I need a haircut like whoa! I like having longer hair... but it's just kind of "blah" right now. I also need to dye (I have quite a few grays showing through. DAMN YOU, 30!)... but I'm cheap and will be doing that a la The Box.
I love love love my stylist. When I go to get my hair cut, it's basically like making an appointment to talk to a friend for an hour. And she has THE MOST GORGEOUS curly hair I think I've ever seen.

Well my main prob is that it's a very small town. I work for local government and know a lot of people and my stylist (who owns her own shop) does hair for a lot of people in town. She is friendly with the other hair dressers in town and would know if I went somewhere else local.
I've been seeing her every 8 weeks for over 6 years now and am FB friends with her. So it would have to be a breakup I think.
I need to find a new stylist, again. The salon I went to last time was so expensive. $250 (including tip) for highlights and basically a trim. I was trying to justify it that its a really nice salon and I can afford it, etc, but no, it's just dumb to spend that where I live. For that much, I could drive back to my old stylist, have lunch, and buy an outfit at the mall on the way home.
Back to stalking girls with nice highlights and asking them where they go.
Hmmm... Yeah. Maybe you should just move.
A few of my friends go to Chi Wah Organica and like them. I believe my friend got a cut and highlights for less than $150. You were going to Scott Miller before, right?

I could have written this myself. Except, I have never had to cut an elastic out of my hair...at least not recently. Do you get the ones that are continuous without any metal on the band? I sometimes put my hair in a loop on top of my head before I go to bed so I can sleep better. Not attractive at all. I look like Cindy Lou Who.
I'm so glad you decided to take the plunge, abs!
I got my hair "chopped" (whatever you say for making a short hairstyle even shorter) about a month ago, and it looked like a helmet on my head and was not what I asked for at all, so I went back to get it changed. I'm still not so pleased with it, but I don't want to spend 50 bucks just to get a clean-up in the back.
I'm considering going to the 15-dollar cut'n'save so I don't look like a soccer mom for Vegas in a few weeks.
And I, too, dye my hair at home. Bought a box yesterday!
Its 10:34 I have been at work since 9 and I have literally done NOTHING. I drank my coffee, chatting with co workers.. played with a co workers baby that she brought it for the first time, am on the Nest, looked up to see if my daughter got into the charter school lottery and I am STILL looking for things to do other than work.
I suck
Oh, also, my clock thought daylight savings started TODAY. So guess who woke up an hour early, stood in a lukewarm shower shivering because her pipes are so old they don't heat well, dressed too warmly for a 70-degree day and kicked herself in the nuts when she saw it was only 6:45 AM instead of 7:45?
Yep. Life sucks so hard today. At least I was able to get a fabulous americano from my favorite coffee place before work.
You are so wise. I think this is the perfect solution.
Thanks D! Yes, I got lured into Scott Miller. That place is like a factory.
I hear you! I do go to Scott Miller though
I have tried so many salons and haven't been satisfied. My hair is fairly unruly though!

SOCK BUN.
You'll thank me later.
This week I learned that my company has no off site backups ... of anything. The owner wants to back up Quickbooks and ... nothing else. So theoretically if our on-site servers were lost we would lose hundreds of thousands of reports; contact information for hundreds of field reps; contact info, billing info, forms, customer requirements and procedures for dozens of customers. In other words, we would go out of business immediately.
My confession is that I hope the building burns down and the servers are lost.
How do you do that? Also, does it leave dent marks in your hair?
