    Thanks, girls!!!

I have been teaching high school social studies for ten years and while i have no immediate plans to leave the classroom, I felt the need to advance my teaching pedigree, so to speak, and get my Masters in something I'm passionate about. So, I applied to the "Learning and Teaching" Masters program within the Harvard Grad School of Ed and got in, but also got accepted into a special cohort within that group on instructional leadership. I've worked on many curriculum and assessment committees over the years and my true passion is finding ways to make the learning that is required of students engaging, creative, and properly assessed, so this degree will enrich that. Also, it would open doors down the road in terms of getting a job as a curriculum leader, teacher mentor, etc.

It still seems all surreal and I cannot believe this blessing has happened to me!!!
