I'm unsure how to feel about this, advice?
Re: I'm unsure how to feel about this, advice?
Don't want to beat a dead horse here so I won't. Glad you got some good advice. Stop looking for something wrong, A. If something is off, it's not going to be who pays for the bill. It looks like he's a very straightforward man and that's a good thing.
When are you seeing him again?
Yes, he does seem really straightforward. NO games, which is a great quality.
I'm not sure when I'm seeing him again. I want to see him soon (like sometime mid-week), but I'm sensitive to him living 30 minutes from me and having to get to work early each morning.
If I may add to this, I would venture to say that you have some trust issues Achase? I recall doing this early on after my divorce, because I was trying to detect any small sign of something negative that I may be able to run from because I was afraid of making the same mistake twice.
I dont think it is games you were playing, although I understand why it may seem like that to some. But, one possibility is that instead of relaxing and enjoying someones company, you are convinced there has to be something wrong with him because it was going so well? Perhaps you were worried it was a sign he was a loser, and thus a warning for you to start to have doubts? Instead of maybe that he knows not to put up a fuss over it for fear you would be put off? Women are alot more pushy than they used to be, and I have found most men dont put up resistance because of this independence we want, they are confused where that leaves them with chivalry......Its a hard spot for them too.
If I may say though, there is far too much analyzing for a second date
We ladies need to relax like the men do! You have nothing to lose here! Just a couple hours of a good time potentially.... Hope I havent overstepped, but wanted to say I understand where you were coming from and possibly throw the idea out there about your fears as well .....
Thank you for your input and time to reply. I think there's definitely some trust issues going on with me. I try not to let what happened in the past get in the way of the future but sometimes it happens, inevitably.
I agree, too much overanalyzing for a third date! I want to just enjoy dating and see what happens. I have enough stress without adding to it, intentionally.
