eclaires and other kid clothes horses
What are your kids wearing for Easter?
I'm trying to decide what to put on pete and I'm drawing a blank.

Re: eclaires and other kid clothes horses
Mine are girls, so no real help..
But I think a pair of khakis, with a pastel button-up and tie in the same color as the shirt would be nice.

I feel bad for the poor kid. I spend months planning Easter/Christmas outfits for me and the pinkerbird. And now I'm planning pudding's. But pete gets whatever I find at Burlington. He's gonna think I don't love him.
I bought him a fedora one year but H hated it. He's a fun sucker.

I'm making ZB a dress from this pattern:
OMG, I'm in LOVE!!! Have you picked fabric yet?

I'll play. Z is wearing....
This cardigan over a pail blue and white button up shirt (actually doubling up on the one he is wearing in the family pics below)
with this bow tie.
I am probably going to do some dark wash jeans or long jean board shorts.
With these blue vans he already has:
Jackson's wearing at least some part of his outfit for my BIL's wedding. For BIL's wedding he's wearing light blue dress pants, a light coral gingham button down and a navy pindot bowtie and suspenders. I'm thinking I'm just going to get him a different shirt depending upon what I decide to put Scarlett in. I'm torn for her b/c I have a ton of dresses but nothing is jumping out to me. Janie&Jack's friends and family starts tomorrow though, and there are a few dresses I really like so I might pick something up there.
She's wearing this for BIL's wedding (w/ coral mary janes and a coral cardigan), I think:
I might get her something smocked...but we also have these few things:
Oh and this, but I think we're definitely using this for a photoshoot with the porcelain china tea set I inherited from my great grandmother (it was hers when she was a little girl).
I'll probably have her wear a dress for church/brunch, but for dinner/egg hunt I might change her into one of these. I usually let Jackson switch to shorts and lose his tie anyway.
IDK...too many damn decisions.
Yes! It's fabric I have in my stash. I'll try to PIP later.
I just took a quick spin around etsy and I think I'll make peteybird a reversible vest, solid khaki on one side and some aqua, khaki, and gray striped shirting I bought a few weeks ago on the other. I can use the leftovers from pudding's seafoam microcheck romper to make the kid a matching bow tie.
Should I go with khaki dress pants or a nice pair of dark wash jeans?
If you're my FB friend, you've already seen what I'm sewing me and the pinkerroo.
Here's what I'm making pudding.

We just has her picture taken in what will probably be her Easter dress. Please note the frilly mary jane socks.
I think I also have a cute navy sailor dress in a bag of handmedowns somewhere. We have breakfast with one side of my family and dinner with another so a costume change will be in order.
Happy Spring!.
We're going to a wedding in North Carolina in June, so this outfit will pull double duty. (I'm not 100% on the outfit. I'd like to find some short pants, but this is the direction we're going)
I'd probably go with khakis, HAB, but I think you could let him choose, too. I love the vest idea and I LOVE LOVE LOVE the smocked outfit. Jackson had a little monogrammed shortall for his first Easter. Sigh, I loved that thing.
So dorky!
Above Us Only Sky
I love this so very much!
Bean wore something similar last year, except his had a reversible bib, one side that had an embroidered bunny.
it is a good thing I have a collection of bowties because my 4 yr old likes to wear them to school regularly.
Above Us Only Sky
ha! that is awesome. I kind of want to start collecting bowties for Jackson. I wish I was sending him to private school that required ties/bowties, lol. I love little old men clothes for boys.
bunny - we do like My Little Pony around here so maybe we would dress up some horses?
I love the expression on her little face!

This thread is making me think I should stop being a derelict mom and start thinking about this. We got tons of dresses as gifts before she was born, and I guess I'll choose from the stash based upon what she's fitting into (girl is already in 3m onesies at six weeks, so we may have to move fast). It will probably be something pink and smocked.
All your kids and outfits are so cute!
I am a sucker for smocking
This was my son's 1st easter outfit, and I haven't picked out this year's Easter outfit
Baby girl will wear the dress in my signature (it was my grandmother's) or my old baby dress:
So I looked at my fabric in my stash and didn't love it. I'm going with:
and this as the trim:
pgh, keep an eye on zulily for smocked bunnies because unless it's premade, those etsy girls are practically booked.
This is only my second attempt at smocking, my first with picture smocking. I'm scared.
pixy, I'm in love. ZB will look tres cute!

There's a company that I follow on my Facebook feed called "Smock It To Me." They do short sale discount smocking & I believe they had bunnies the last time I looked. They're worth looking into, for sure.
