Yet another welfare post on TB
Re: Yet another welfare post on TB
I have yet to see this happen.
The new thing going around on FB
Really? Seriously?
Can I just say how much I love that the link opens in a new window?
yes this is very very real. My patent population is largely built of medicaid patients and most are on food stamps. the majority of them have nails done, childs nails done weekly, eyebrows done, i phone and every electronic you can imagine. It is shameful and I get angry I am paying for all this. Oh and they eat out 4-5 or more times per week.
Mind you this is not every welfare, stamps or medicaid recepient, many truly need the help and are working to better themselves. It is the abusers that are so frustrating.
Yay! You're back
Are you reporting these people to the 'welfare' office for possible abuse?
Seriously.
WTMF is a patent population?
And....LOL @ your jealousy.
I think she meant patient?
And even so.. WOW!
Probably.
It must be very tiring to look out the window and analyze what every patient drives and follow them around all week to count how many times they eat out.
I always judge people by their eyebrows. "COME HERE CHILD, LET ME SEE THOSE BROWS. Oh yeah, you're a CLASSIC welfare abuser!!!"

"This ribbon has been reported." - lovesnina
I think I just fell in luv with you. This made me giggle out loud.
People are far too interested in everyone else's beeswax.
How do you even know if someone has their eyebrows done? No $.97 tweezers for poor people!!
because:
1. they tell me
2. we discuss financial need/resources as part of our visit
3. We discuss how many times they eat out
4. We come up with a plan to manage the problem and finances, lifestlye etc all has to come in to play to make a realistic plan for their child.
and to the person who said I was jealous, now that is just ridiculous. I get frustrated that as much as I try to help, many people do not want to problem solve or give up things they "think" they need to better their children. I also get a bit jaded that I am responsibile with my money and see so many almost every day abusing the system.
And have you seen the title to that BMW so you know it's theirs? And have you checked with the dealership to confirm that they bought it new, at full MSRP?
Have you also verified that no one in their family or circle of friends works at a nail salon or does nails from home to make some extra cash? And have you confirmed that their iPhone is the latest version and that they paid full price for it after waiting in line at the Apple store, rather than buying some spoiled teenagers old phone off Craig's List?
