Can we discuss Peyton Manning again?
I just saw that he called Miami to say he isn't going there. I'm thinking he ends up with the Titans.
Anyone else want to discuss? I can't wait to see where he ends up.
Re: Can we discuss Peyton Manning again?
My money is on TN, but DH says Denver.
I unknowingly attended his final game in Indy January 2011. I'll be interested to see him in action and if he is 100%.
The Titans owner offered to do everything but wipe Peyton's ass, so I think that would be a good bet.
I'm still anxiously awaiting to see how much Colts ticket sales go down.
Did you not see my page to Nitaw and Eclaires below.
OUr state legislature past a resolution telling him to come to TN and remember his roots. Finally some jobs legislation.

Of course it's the only real talk here in Colorado.
Look - he's a great QB, or at least he has been a great QB. But I will be royally miffed if he comes here, and if Tebow goes on to become a monster QB for some other team. MIFFED.
I also personally think he's reveling in the hoopla. But that's me.
Ha! I just scrolled back and read it. I'm hoping he goes to TN but yea it did make me laugh that the government got involved.
The only monster Tebow could be as a quarterback is at the expense of his own team. Elway would agree that it'd be best for Denver to get rid of him asap.
The only redeeming thing about Tebow wining those games for Denver was watching the vein in Elway's head throb as he attempted to look happy about it.
Well definitely Denver or TN. The benefit of TN is having Chris Johnson as an alternative to passing all the time - if he doesn't repeat last year's performance.
But I think Elway really really wants him.

Chris Johnson is a product of my alma mater which is the other reason I want him to end up there.
Indy is my favorite city but Nashville is right there with it so I'm reallllly hoping he ends up in TN.
I'm so torn. If Denver gets him, the Jags' new owner will pay OUT THE ASSS to get Tebow here. And everyone would flip sh!t. And I would become even more bitter.
...But then it's not like the Jags could get any worse so I feel like I'm cutting off my nose to spite my afce by hoping he doesn't come to Jacksonville.
*sigh* You all can go back to talking about your real football teams that matter now.
@NFLnetwork just tweeted the following:
It's true. We've got LIVE aerial coverage of a white van, full of Broncos, traveling down the freeway. Tune in! #ManningWatch
My first thought: OJ!!!
Peyton is supposedly doing a workout today for John Elway at Duke.

The Jags used to have another product of my alma mater as their QB. He is jobless and I haven't heard a word about him ever playing again
He wasn't a good fit there either though. I just hope to see him play again.
I think TN would be a good bet.
Tebow could become a pretty okay QB, but not if he sits on the bench for 3 years.
40/112
I'd love to be a fly on that campus today. I'm not far away at all and knew he had been doing rehab work there. He was shown at the last UNC/Duke game as well. Very cool!
Hey now, don't fret. There's some chatter down here the Dolphins might be interested in Tebow if Manning signs with Denver. I love it...the two bottom-feeding Florida teams fighting it out over Tebow.
Neither owner seems keen on winning games, they just want to put fannies in the seats and nothing will do that like tugging on the heartstrings of fanatical, sometimes illogical and unreasonable Gator fans (large quantities of whom live in both Jacksonville and South Florida).
I mean, seriously, let's not forget Ross' gimmick of "Gator Day" last year when the Broncos played the Fins. Let's throw a giant halftime party honoring the other team's starting QB...woo!
I'd enjoy having Peyton nearby, and I think that he would do a lot for both Knoxville and Nashville if he was with the Titans. But I think Elway is making a good case for Denver to him. TN is just kind of reeking of desperation, lol.
But, you know Peyton would LOVE to take the Titans job, and beat the sh*t out of Irsay and Indy every year until he retires. I also think he likes TN - I'm pretty sure he has a house in Knoxville and does a lot of donating and stuff here. Plus, he's friends w/ Kenny Chesney (Knoxville/UT native)... who lives in Nashville.
The Jags need something to get people interested in/ excited about them again (or ever). Anything will do at this point.
my read shelf:
I follow him on twitter and it is so sad...
H and I were so.effing.pissed when they cut him and bumped up Gabbert. It was expected with his injury, but how they did it was so d!ck. They should have let him finish out the season and mentor Gabbert (who is truly, truly abysmal).

My money's on Denver too. And WTF re: the government of Tennessee wasting time to pass a dumbass resolution. I would like to know how many more people will be employed if Manning ends up in TN.

<a href="http://www.thenest.com/?utm_source=ticker&utm_medium=HTML&utm_campaign=tickers" title="Home DMe too! Did you see yesterday he said some teams had contacted his agent? I hope they have and hope to see him play again.
He and his wife are also class acts. They give a lot back to the school and come back for a game at least once a year. Very cool guy!
I did almost forget about this! I was raging out on behalf of Miami fans when that happened!
Kind of like I was in week one in 2010 when Jacksonville had a home game against the Broncos after Tebow got drafted. Half the stadium in Gator gear and the other half in their brand new Tebow #11 Broncos jerseys. Jags who?
Well, in Knoxville, if Manning comes "home," anyone who is unemployed will immediately feel better and will be cheered up. Football is religion here, and Manning is God.
This is why I kind of think he is leaning towards TN. He knows this is his last stop most likely. It would be really cool to see him retire at "home".
He had back surgery and his wife just gave birth. We believe he will play somewhere again.. not sure about this season. Most of my circle believes he is def not "done".
