It's true. We've got LIVE aerial coverage of a white van, full of Broncos, traveling down the freeway. Tune in! #ManningWatch

    My first thought:  OJ!!!

My money's on Denver too. And WTF re: the government of Tennessee wasting time to pass a dumbass resolution. I would like to know how many more people will be employed if Manning ends up in TN.

I was mocking the jobs issue...

it would create exactly 1 job. Peyton's

I'm so torn. If Denver gets him, the Jags' new owner will pay OUT THE ASSS to get Tebow here. And everyone would flip sh!t. And I would become even more bitter.

...But then it's not like the Jags could get any worse so I feel like I'm cutting off my nose to spite my afce by hoping he doesn't come to Jacksonville.

*sigh* You all can go back to talking about your real football teams that matter now.

The Jags need something to get people interested in/ excited about them again (or ever). Anything will do at this point.

This will be our first year as Jags season ticket holders. We would be thrilled to have Tebow come play (but we are also Gator season ticket holders and huge gator fans).

It would be nice to see Jacksonville excited about their team again. And Tebow would do that. *shrug*

Well, in Knoxville, if Manning comes "home," anyone who is unemployed will immediately feel better and will be cheered up.  Football is religion here, and Manning is God.  ;)

This is why I kind of think he is leaning towards TN.  He knows this is his last stop most likely.  It would be really cool to see him retire at "home".

Doug Gottilieb was hosting The Herd today and he made some comment about the Titans' owner being old and how ownership possibilities would be on the table for Manning in TN.  Not sure what he meant by that - maybe the guy will want to sell?  It seemed like a jump, but I could see him being interested in TN as a last stop like you said and eventually working in TN for the Titans not as a QB.  Or at UT.

Interesting perspective there too.  Hmmmm.  He definitely has the money to buy a team down the road I'd imagine

I'm very interested to see how this plays out.

Coming out of lurkdom to agree.  I love Dooley and all but my dream scenario is Peyton truly comes home and coaches once his NFL career is done.  Can you imagine Neyland if that happens?

It.Would.Be.Insane.  We're transplants from Indy but I said that the only way I'd ever wear Rocky Top orange would be if Peyton Manning was the coach of the vols.  :)

My next door neighbor's dog is named Neyland. haha!

I am willing to bet that Neyland the dog has a checker board collar.

  • Apparently he worked out for SF last night too...

    I see this now......

    Boooooo,  bring Peyton to TN.

  • Of course he does!  And he has checkerboard/UT cornhole boards, too.  Well, his owners/parents do.  ;)

I've resigned myself to the fact that without a massive effort of brainwashing my kids will love ol' Rocky Top.  It's actually already one of Jackson's favorite songs, haha.
