President Obama went for a Guinness at the Dubliner
today in DC. I love stories like this!
I just like that he and the family try to go out in DC and experience the city (well, as much as you can as the President). And I think it's hysterical he went to a bar full of drunk people.
Re: President Obama went for a Guinness at the Dubliner
Better than if he had gone to the Irish Times, I think the Dubliner may have a slightly more upscale clientele, if that is possible!
Doesn't he know we're in the middle of a war, on the verge of another with Iran? This is where his priorities lie? He doesn't even LOOK Irish! He's the president of the united states, not Ireland! Such a fascist muslim.
- Sisugal, after figuring out Dylanite's Nest login and password.
i actually clamped my hand over my mouth to keep from guffawing, then realized I was at home and it just wasn't necessary. kudos.
When they wake up tomorrow. Man did I?... Was that?... Naaaaah.
Ann Ronmey is far more "real people" than Michele or Barack.
THis was all for show so people will THINK they are like others and exactly what I hate to see in the news. THIS is what is important news of the day? The most important activity on the President's schedule?
You're so predictable.
Sisu, I love your MM posts but this has me convinced that your purpose on PCE is to troll, because this post is unspeakably ridiculous.
ETA: Incidentally, I'm not necessarily being critical of your MO because I admire your willingness to come back time and again, drop a bomb, and stand back while everyone here trips over themselves in frustration.
I compared this to Dylanite's post and then I died.
As did I. BEST THREAD EVER.

If he'd had had a slice of this:
while having his drink, would that make him more of a "real" person?

I'm guessing she had to change up what she was planning to say after Dylanite stole her idea.
But Irish Times is where the cool kids hang out.
And IMO, their food is better (though that's not saying much.)
I've been to the Dubliner 3 years in a row for St. Pattys Day. It is crazy!
I wonder what time he went. That place is insane on St. Patty's Day. Did the crowd have to go through metal detectors? I know they didn't have them in the past. I'm baffled by the logistics of this, but think it is still really cool.
We've haven't been back since 2009 when I took an epic spill on the street outside and had to get 19 stitches in my chin, let me just say owwww. Ahhh good crazy times pre-baby.

I spent most of my 20s sitting in the basement bar of the Times drinking and dancing. I don't think that made me cool
ahhhhh the swerve room. it was like a frat party for those who had already graduated from college. because of how icky downstairs is, there is no way i could eat at the irish times.
