s/o: Weapons under the bed

Re: s/o: Weapons under the bed

  • I have an 80 lb dog who is a sweetheart until he thinks his family is in danger and then he will go after anyone he views as a threat. I also have a second dog who is roughly 60 lbs who would follow the lead of the first dog. All of that commotion would be enough to wake me up. If my dogs are pacing at night I can hear them and I always go downstairs to check what's wrong. They only bark at night and I pay close attention when they do. We also keep a baseball bat next to the bed and I sleep with my phone under my pillow so I can call 911 in a heartbeat if I have to.

  • i have a loaded glock in my night stand, B has 2 guns in his, and a shot gun in the closet.  We have a cabinet full of guns in the office as well.  We have nothing compared to what i grew up with though.

I am a light sleeper, been around guns all my life, and have had a lot of training with them.  (thank you Army and my father), I've been through combatives training, tae kwon do and boxing.

The dog, while she will bark, will not do anything to an intruder, but try to get them to pet her.  My kitten on the other hand will attack their feet, climb up their body and rip/bite their face off.
