This election just isn't holding my attention
I am sure it will be different once we have the R's done, but I will be honest I am discounting pretty much anyone is saying these days. I have had it with everyone thinking my lady bits are their business, I have had it with abortion issues.
I am just burnt out, but I don't want to become a mindless drone in voting.
Anyone else just over it already?
Re: This election just isn't holding my attention
I now merely skim the articles for the gist and move on. Coming from someone who was a massive political junkie back in the day and can still muster almost obsessive interest depending upon the moment, this is quite the change.
I actually stayed away from this board yesterday for the same reason. Too much "war on women" discussion and I needed a break. If it starts up again today, I'll be gone again.
Wednesdays should be War on Women Wednesdays for the aliteration.... but I'd actually like to discuss the elderly today and Medicare reform :-)
Above Us Only Sky
Yeah, Paul Ryan released a relatively important plan yesterday that has significant political ramifications but apparently it didn't hate women enough to warrant discussion.
Copz, I'm right there with you. I still pay attention to the WOW stuff because, well, that's what I do, but beyond that, I just.don't.care. I'm beyond certain that I would run fast and far from any of the R's currently up for nomination, so it's not even worth continuing to engage in the crazy.
Once we have an actual nominee and the "real" election starts, I'll probably jump back in, but for now I'm just skimming articles that don't have to do with women.
