Of COURSE I would do something that stupid :(
Just was conversing via email with the woman I met last night who offered to recommend me for the position I applied for. She asked me to send her my resume today so she could send it on, so I did. She then bcc'd me on her rec, and let me know she did so.
And then I got an email asking if I knew the name of the first page of my resume was different than the name on the second. I changed the name on my resume back to my married name, but apparently forgot to change it on the header for the second page.
FML.

I'm so sorry!
Was it from the lady who is recommending you or someone else? Still, I think it is a mistake that anyone could make.
It was from the lady who's recommending me. Just sent her an email thanking her (again) for recommending me, and for bringing the mistake to my attention so that I could correct it for future applications.
Sigh.

arborgold, it's not the worst thing in the world. I mean, you didn't misspell anything or have any grammar mistakes, so I think you're probably okay.
I agree with this. It is an honest mistake, and not a huge one.
Try not to freak out!
Definitely not a huge issue.
When I went from temp to permanent at my current job, I had to submit a resume and coverletter. On address part of the coverletter, I so badly mis-spelled the name of the street my company is on that it was an entirely different street name.

I've sent out letters to clients back in the day when I worked on Public Square.
I dropped the "L".
Now that is funny, in hindsight of course.
