i just bought myself a ticket to see The Hunger Games tonight! yes, i'm going alone. at 10. i'll be the oldest one in the theatre by more than a decade and a half and i don't care!

will it ruin me if i go to the movie without having read the book?
from what i've heard, i don't think so. you might want to read the first book before you read the second because from what i understand there is at least 1 character (not a major one) that got the axe in the script.
i fully plan on watching Girl With The Dragon Tattoo before reading it. talk about screwing yourself
I did this. You'll walk away from the movie thinking "There HAS to be more to this story that got left out". However, if they put everything that was in the book in the movie, the movie would have been about 7 hours long.
You'll be fine doing it in that order. :-)
