Yesterday a friend and I did a Shamrock Shuffler 2 mile run. Not a long run, I've run longer but I've never really run a whole race without walking at least a little ( or a lot, lol!). I'm not a fast runner by any means, typically I run about an 11 minute mile. My long term goal has been to get to a 10 minute mile. My goal for this race was to finish in under 22 minutes and take as few walk breaks as possible.
Well not only did I run the whole d@mn thing ( and felt pretty good while doing it) but we finished the race in 19 minutes 16 seconds! I can not believe that I did that! Now I can't wait for my next race...a 5K in May... to see what I can do with that ![]()
