Re: Randoms
1.) I have a tongue blister and it hurts and I keep playing with it because it feels weird which makes it hurt more.
2.) Ellie has a secret hiding place. She showed it to me yesterday. I was sitting on the couch and she came over to me and took my hand and led me to it. It is in our bedroom closet. We hid from daddy in there for a while.
3.) I made the yummiest salad for lunch. Baby spinach, strawberries, chickpeas, crumbled gorgonzola, and this:
Raspberry Balsamic Vinegar, which is the nectar of the mother-freaking-GODS, y'all.
My SIL is officially not speaking to me. She never replied to my text where I thanked her for my birthday card/gift, and she then sent a bunch of photos to ILs, SIL and DH and left me off the list. I mailed her a thank you note today (for the card/gift) as an olive branch, but I don't know if it'll work. I'm more amused than anything, really.
Without violating privacy laws, all I will say is about two weeks ago I had to help a bunch of OBGYN residents remove a potato from a woman's private place because she put it up there and it got stuck. It was hilarious and awkward, and has made me into quite the celebrity at work ("YOU took care of the potato lady??"). I have also yet to eat a potato since that day because I can't decide whether to laugh or gag whenever I see one now.
I gained weight last week because of my birthday, but I only gained back half of what I lost the week before, so I don't feel too bad. Plus I saved myself enough cake to fit into my weekly extra points, so I'll be having cake for a snack here shortly.
Congrats to both my TTC buddies, Amberley18 and sb2006 on their beautiful babies!
SIL isn't speaking to you? Oh darn...
LMAOOOOOOOO potato lady! Holy crap!
I think Meghan wins for random! A potato? W.T.F.
Thread closed.
Yeah, it also prompted a lot of "Gee, I'd pick a <insert vegetable here> over a potato!" conversations at the nurse's station. It was awesome.
Congrats to both my TTC buddies, Amberley18 and sb2006 on their beautiful babies!
cucumber.
Yeah I agree the banana might be too squishy. And we ruled out carrots due to lack of girth.
But the general rule of thumb was not to stick anything in there that isn't long enough to grab a hold of to remove it. Watching someone give birth to a vegetable is a life-changing experience, y'all.
Congrats to both my TTC buddies, Amberley18 and sb2006 on their beautiful babies!
This is freaking priceless!
I don't really have a random, especially not one that can top that!
A potato!? WTF!?!
I have NO clue what the Hunger Games is about.
The market has recently done a 360 and everything went from staying on the market forever to all selling and quick. We knew we had to move quickly, so we spent 2 days looking at all available houses that fit our criteria and found one we love and put in an offer. Somebody else put one in too, however. It is owned by a relocation company and they came back and told us both for our best offer. That was a few hours ago and I'm waiting impatiently for a call back. I sure hope it is today and that it is good news.
Kelly, I haven't read The Hunger Games either.
I hope you get good news! eeeeeep!
I almost choked on my water over the potato.... seriously-
I think my skin has reverted back to being 16- why must I break out all the time. I still haven't had a real period since Charlotte was conceived, and I cant blame this. I am guessing its time for a cleanse.
Oh my God. The potato story. Best. Ever.
As for me...I'm a little overwhelmed with life right now and all the stuff we have going on this week. I do now know how we would be managing all this stuff if I didn't work from home.
My sister had a fun birthday yesterday and that makes me happy. We had burritos and cupcakes and played Mad Libs and I got her awesome zombie slippers. It was just nice that she actually had a good birthday for once since she usually has the Birthday Curse (do you watch Happy Endings? My sister's birthday is cursed like Penny's. It's ridiculous)
That potato story is amazing.
My randoms all suck. I don't feel like exercising because I'm not losing weight and my body doesn't even look different to me, so I'm pretty sure it is the same to other people.
I am trying to come up with a list of fun/ happy things to bring to my friend. Thus far I have Mindy Kaling's book (which I am prescreening for hidden cancer references) and a custom soundtrack. Any other non-food suggestions?

I know she's going to be shaving her head - do you think she would like a pretty headscarf?
Perhaps a journal and some nice pens so she can write down her thoughts?

It looked like a yellow-skinned one. Pretty decent sized
Congrats to both my TTC buddies, Amberley18 and sb2006 on their beautiful babies!
I also need to know if there was a partner involved and/or a webcam and if this was part of some dare, or a regular occurance, or for funsies.
If you do not know these answers please be to asking them next time. Inquiring minds need to know!

I want this bra:

to go with these panties that I already own:

Also, I found this shirt on clearance at Target yesterday and I love it. My mom said it makes Samma look like a boy, but for Star Wars, I can accept that.

(And obviously this isn't Samma, but it's the only picture I can find of the shirt, and I'm glad to see another mom put her daughter in it as well!)

Figgs - stupid couch indeed. is the phone covered by insurance?
MB - How dare your mother impose gender stereotypes on Samma!!!!!!!!!!!1111!11!!!1111!1!!ELEVEN!!!!~!!!
And of course, i kid, because Ellie totall wears this shirt all the time:
Oh yeah, no worries -- this is not the first time I've heard it from her as Samma has gone down the Star Wars road before...

Of course I DID NOT take the insurance..... I just ordered a knock off replacement screen and backing online and I am hoping it will work. The site had pretty good reviews. We will see..
