what do you drink throughout the day?

looking for some ideas for healthy drinks besides water, green tea & gatorade. they are my staples pretty much

any suggestions?

  • In addition to water, coffee and tea, I like the LaCroix flavored sparkling waters. They are calorie-free, and the bubbles help me feel full. I like the lemon flavor.

  • I too am no help - water and seltzer.
  • Water, mostly.

    I drink a fair amount of homemade fruit smoothies for breakfast with spinach thrown in.  And I usually have a glass of milk before bed now that I'm pregnant.  Pre-pregnancy, I also had a cup of coffee every day.

    Red wine also has some excellent health benefits!  I miss it.

  • Coffee in the AM, water throughout the day and the occasional frapuccino light or NF latte.  Otherwise, I don't like to drink my calories.
  • Yep, pretty much water, black tea, and sometimes diet soda. If I have a few extra calories available I will drink skim milk, usually with a meal/snack - it's a good source of protein and delicious! I would not consider gatorade to be healthy unless you're drinking it during a long (>60min) cardio workout, it's just sugar water like soda, etc.

  • Water and green tea. Occasionally, for a "treat" I'll have a Fuze or a Sobe Life Water Zero. DH likes flavored seltzer and if I'm craving soda, I'll have that (I try not to drink caffeine since it really messes up my sleep schedule.)

    Oh, this is what I mix with cherry juice concentrate--one of the berry flavors.

  • I add Crystal Lite to my water if I want to sweeten it up. Nuun if I'm feeling like I need the electrolytes.

    thx for the suggestions ladies! and yes, i know it's not that healthy, which was one of the reasons for this post. i want to try and find something different. i don't like the coloring added to it. water is my big staple but sometimes i need some flavor.

  • How about water with lemon in it? You could also make cucumber water (recipes online) and bring it to work if you want something with some flavor.
  • Mostly water, tea and coffee, but sometimes sparkling water or water with a tiny bit of juice for flavor.

  • I'm no help either.  98% of the time I drink coffee, water and milk, that's it.
  • Water and tea, all day, every day.  Not much help, am I?
  • Coffee in the morning, water, tea, and Izze.

    I only drink Gatorade on long run days or super sweaty days.

  • We have a soda stream. I love it! I just make plain seltzer and add lemon or lime. I also drink a lot of herbal tea (celestial seasonings sweet coconut thai chai is my favorite).

  • Water, green tea and usually a diet pepsi.

    One of my new favorite things to make at home though is a knockoff of Starbucks Passionfruit Tea Lemonade. So good!

    2c. boiling water, 1 Tazo Passion tea. steep.

    2c. Iced water, 1 pkt CL Pure Lemonade (no aspartame). mix.

    Combine the two, and it is SO GOOD!

  • Water, tea, occasional coconut water or chocolate soy milk. SF Redbull (I know, nasty) before an early workout. And sometimes a diet soda with lunch.
  • Tea in the morning (coffee instead of tea on weekends), water during the day, herbal tea at night.  Many weekday evenings, if I want something different, I drink mineral water (Perrier, San Pellegrino, etc.), sometimes with lemon or lime squeezed in. 
  • I drink 1 cup of coffee in the morning and drink water the rest of the day.
