  • We had fire, earthquake and disaster drills (which were cool because some people got to wear fake blood and pretend they were injured, etc). We also had several lockdowns but never a drill for them that I remember. It basically was just stay in the classroom and play heads up 7up so I don't know how we'd have that as a drill.

  • 1980 - Only fire drills.  Columbine happened at the end of my senior year of high school, so the only way we addressed it is I wrote a paper on it.  Plus, private prep school that wasn't overly concerned about safety.

We did once have to evacuate due to a gas leak from road construction.  Basically, it was just a big long fire drill, complete with them locking bags (and my car keys) in the classroom until it was over, many many many hours later.

  • We had lock down drills in rural KS and I was born in 1981. They actually used it at least once as well.

  • Only fire and tornado drills here (and one actual tornado once). I was a senior when Columbine happened so just missed that one.

  • Fire and earthquake drills only. Was out of college long before Columbine.
