Michelle Duggar Says Overpopulation Is a Lie

Re: Michelle Duggar Says Overpopulation Is a Lie

  • Go to this site and it'll tell you how the world's population can fit in Jacksonville, FL and that if you give every family of 4 a 50'x50' plot, the whole world could fit in Montana!

    Crazy.

  • "The idea of overpopulation is not accurate because, really, the entire population of the world, if they were stood shoulder to shoulder, could fit in the city limits of Jacksonville," Duggar told the Christian Broadcasting Network. "So if you realize that aspect of it, we realize we're not anywhere near being overpopulated."

    What the whaaaaaa???

  • It's not an interesting viewpoint.  It's a stupid one.  Just like J'chelle.  It's what you get when you learn at the school of the dining room table.

And there's no damn way they conserve resources.  They use disposable diapers ffs.  There was one ep that said they create something like 8 bags of trash a day.

    Holy cripes she's an idiot.

What does standing shoulder to shoulder in Jacksonville have to do with anything? And where did she get this info?

  • That's it people! Buy only used cars and shop at thift stores and Voila! all the ills of overpopulation are solved.

You nevermind about all the food it takes to feed my 384798574 kids, or diapers, or paper plates and such.

  • I can see believing this, if I had a clown car vagina.

  • Maybe if the whole world lived in Jacksonville, the Jaguars would have more fans?
  • Well thank goodness! And here I was worried that overpopulation was causing things like wars, starvation, loss of natural resources, pollution, and traffic. It must be something else... Just glad to know that overpopulation isn't a problem. One less thing to worry about.

Lol.  Then again, the population should remain where it's at now due to the immediate suicides.

  • People who don't "believe in" overpopulation don't seem to understand the amount of land required to raise the cattle that feed them meat three times a day, the grain that makes their wonderbread, and the water that washes their Old Navy wardrobe, also requiring acres of land to produce the fabric, dyes, etc etc etc. One person can live on 25 square feet of land. But not for long. And not with the American lifestyle they think they are owed.
  • The Duggars seem to regularly confuse being frugal/thrifty with being environmentally friendly.

Well, using paper plates is probably more environmentally friendly than heating up the water to wash 346 loads of dishes each day.

Where they live, it's actually better to use the water to wash the plates. Creating paper plates also uses water and other resources. If they were in an area where water wasn't plentiful, they might be better off using paper plates, but they're not, so the point is moot.

Yeah. I've stopped trying to point out the inconsistencies in her ideas. Of course, I'm guilty of those, too.

When you live standing shoulder to shoulder with your boss the commute's a doddle. Of course, space to get your laptop out or squat to *** is a little bit of an issue.

Thanks, pixy.  That was thoughtful of you to decide what I believe and share it with everyone.

I would tell you what I actually believe, as I have before on this topic, but I doubt that you would listen or understand anyways.  Why bother?

It's pretty easy to figure out. If the cross-sectional area of someone's shoulders is 60cm by 40cm, that's 0.24 m2. Multipled by  6.8 billion is 1,641km2, and Jacksonville is 2,292 km2.

And since carrying capacity is probably a liberal elitist theory, let's all go have babies!

Heh.  Actually, I'm pretty pro homeschooling, aw.

When I use that phrase it has specific connotations for the type of isolated curriculum and buddy teaching the Duggars and other quiverfullers use.  I can see how that would be offensive in this context, but it's not intended to insult everyone who schools at home.

If you're not leaving your 12 year old to teach your kids and using anti-science propoganda curriculum, I don't judge.

That's right.  A small portion of meat.  I eat leftovers from the meal I cooked the night before for lunch.

I guarantee you that even eating meat 2-3 times a day I consume less food than most of you that don't in a given day.  And my meat is all raised right down the road from me.
