Diet tips?

Last time I went on one, I failed, by 7 pounds. So, I'm going to try it again! I've been very sedentary and eating unhealthy foods, it's time to change that. I'm aiming to drop 15-20 pounds, which then I'll be at my ideal weight.

Any tips? TIA!

Re: Diet tips?

  • I try to focus more on eating fiber than on cutting calories. I find it preferable to think about what I should eat rather than what I shouldn't. If I get 25 or more grams of fiber in a day, my caloric intake ends up lower, I have more energy and I'm less hungry than when I just deny myself. When I'm consistent about a high fiber diet, high fat/calorie foods become less appealing.

  • Well start eating healthy foods and working out. Stick out tongue  Get up off your butt and start being active.  Next modify your eating but don't just diet.  Make eating better a lifestyle decision rather than the fad of the moment.

There are different opinions as to the best way to lose weight, but for me eating more protein makes a huge difference.

  • I really like the My Fitness Pal app. It keeps track of what you eat everyday and really helped me see how much I was eating! I have lost 29 lbs since dec with it!

  • A tip? Yes, don't diet. Do a life style change instead.
