My kitten Minnie just got a possible FIP diagnosis last night, which means she will die before too long. It is still possible that it is something else, but it is likely FIP. We are treating for a few other things in the off chance that they will work. FIP also goes into remission about 20% of the time. There is also a vet who is running a research trial about FIP, and we could possibly get her into the study. Some cats are living 24 healthy months on it, instead of the 2 degenerative ones they'd usually have.
As many of you know, my last girl cat died a year ago after a terrible illness. This feels like a horror to be happening again. It is a freak occurrence that it would happen this way, but it feels pretty horrible to H and me.
Any happy thoughts you can spare for antibiotics to work, for the FIP to go into remission, or for her to get into a trial and do well would be most appreciated.

How awful.
I hope the antibiotics work soon.

I'm good for you, whether you like it or not.
I am really sorry about your cat. That sounds like an awful thing to go through and I'm sending you my thoughts and prayers.
This is where I make your misfortune all about my tragedy. I open by saying "I can relate" and then make this thread a place to whine about my own sorrows.
Oh, Bunny, I am so sorry. Prayers and good thoughts for your precious kitten. I really hope you do not have to go through any more pain. Take care.

I really appreciate it, guys. I am feeling a lot better today, and she is acting like herself today, which is really making me feel better.
I'm trying not to let this get on top of me.
