If things come in 3's I really don't want to know what is next.

Last night instead of going to bed like he was supposed to last night ds2 wanted to be sneaky and play instead and ended up tripping and falling and hitting the edge of his brothers bed with the corner of his eye.

It was immed. the size of a golfball so off to the ER we went, we were there from 10pm to 4am and all the doc did after being on his computer most of the night was say the eye itself is ok, but I do not have the energy to get a scan done, so just go home and rest.

I made an appointment with ds's doc today and we shall see what they say.

I really hope things do not add up to the saying all things come in 3's  I do not need anything else right now.

  • I've honestly never heard of anyone going to the ER this much.

  • Wow.  Be careful.  Wear helmets.  And knee pads.

Just kidding, but seriously; I'm sorry you are having so many problems.

    Yep.

The first couple of times they went to the ER since we got here (aug) and the first time was last month, we because of illness. They were sick on Friday nights or weekends when it started. If it would have been during the week they would have gone to their doc.  On Monday right after the paramedics had to check us over and they decided ds1 should be taken in.   Last night was when ds1 got hurt.  Went to the ER because was bad.   They sent him home, we got him into the doc today did a ct scan, and he has a hairline fracture around the eye socket.

I am praying that we do not see the inside of an ER in a very log time.

What about when you were overseas? Pretty certain you had your own parking spot there.

Only 2 urgent care visits for the kiddos, once for stitches for ds1 and when ds2 when he had an allergic reaction.    I went a couple of times for my ankle and when I tore my rotator cuff.   there were also visits because we were sent there because no appointments where avaiable, and they had to stay within the limits of care but it was a crap shoot.

  • You know how many times I've been to the ER in my lifetime? Twice. Both times I was going to die if I didn't get medical attention. I guess I don't understand you going to the ER for every.little.thing.

It's just one crisis after another. Maybe our perception is off because you only post when something is wrong, but this just seems like a huge trainwreck.

But who am I to judge.  I obviously can't keep 2 nest identities straight.

Yes. They "knew" each other in Korea.

Yes I knew her in Korea.  We bowled together and let the boys play together

  • No matter what I say, your going to believe whatever you want. No one knows my in real life but that is ok.  I post about what is going on in my life, it doesn't matter if people respond or not, its just an outlet to get it out so I do not keep things bottled up. I also realize that no matter what I post someone is going to quesiton it. It is just a fact of life.

Read what I post or not, doesnt make any difference to me.

  • But if you only post negative things, that is how everyone is going to perceive you and that's what they will remember.  Fine, come on here to complain.  But if that's all you are going to do, don't be surprised when you get judged for it.

I mean, I talk about drinking all of the time and people remember that for sure.  I deserve it though.

    Why am I bothering?  LOL

  • My civilian insurance charges a co-pay of $175 dollars for the ER. And that was raised last year because they found most people were going to the ER when they didn't need to, most commonly for a sore throat. I'm not saying you didn't need to go as often as you have, but fuuuck that would be expensive in "the real world."

We pay about 20% of the entire bill. so about 20 dollars a visit

I post about other things too. I respond sometimes when people ask questions (if I can help), I even tried to post funny things, but then people pick about grammar.   I will post more but I really do not think it will make a difference.

So I'm saying, if you ever get off military insurance, keep a close eye on your kids.
