I only got to see my grandfather once or twice a year, since they lived far away, so whenever we were leaving, he would give me a "big bear hug" that had to last until the next time I got to see him, and I would squeeze him back as hard as I could. He died in 2008, but he was pretty frail the last few years, so I had to be more gentle. I miss those hugs.
