What was the heartbeat? of course you don't have to say, I'm just curious as too what other people are going through. Plus my mom is convinced that if it's over 140 it's a girl and under it's a boy (obviously an old wives tale with no real truth, but still it's fun to guess for now)

My parents guessed all three of us kids like that too, we'll see if ours is accurate when we find out in 2 months. So far it should be a girl, we'll see if the little one follows through on that lol
DS was usually between 140 and 160. Just saying
I did the chinese and mayan test to see if it was a boy or girl. Did the cravings check too. EVERYTHING said girl..... except the ultrasound.
oh I know, it's completely crazy and you're always just going to have a 50/50 chance of guessing right until the ultrasound but I'm still doing all of those crazy old wives tale things for the fun of it. Likely mine will go the same way as yours and I'll be convinced one way and it'll be the other.
Let's hope so!
Heartbeat was a strong 168. My mom is now convinced it's a boy.

Joaquin wiggled back & forth across the 140 mark from appt to appt. But, I had a strong feeling that she was a girl. Later, an OB told me that apparently they research this stuff, and if the mom is super convinced, she was right 75% of the time, but if the mom had no real 'feeling' and was pressed to pick, she was wrong 75% of the time.
Of course, I haven't seen any reference to this alleged study anywhere before or since, but it's probably as statistically relevant as any anecdote.

DS's heartbeat hovered anywhere between 140 and 160, FWIW.
When I did the Chinese calendar to determine the sex, it told me I was having a boy or a girl. Really? ::headdesk::

Haha, as far as we know, yes. At least it isn't taking after H, whose resting heart rate is like 45.
