I ate the last piece of my H's delicious lasagna for lunch. It was divine. I love when he makes it (it takes half a day!), so it's a real treat when we've got a pan in the fridge for a while.
I am slowly but surely getting my disaster area of a house organized and cleaned up. I'm even starting to get Toddler Malibu to understand the concept of picking up her things before bed. I was afraid I'd come home yesterday to my freshly cleaned living room covered in toys, but it was as spotless as it was when I left.
The clouds are clearing out after much needed rain last night and it's warming up outside.
I'm finally starting to get the desire to get back into shape. Toddler will be 16 months on Thursday, it's about time to really attack the baby weight and I'm getting geared up to start losing.
I'm wearing my contacts today because my eye finally feels good enough to do so. I was having trouble wearing glasses, so I'm glad it's finally getting better.
Re: Tuesday Randoms/Happy Thoughts/What Have You
I'm with you on the motivation to loose the (baby) weight. I need to get rid of the holiday/stopped-breast-feeding weight I gained.
I think it's the Spring weather. It's nice enough to take the little one on jogs again.
I'm rockin' my size 14 jeans today... and they're LOOSE!
I feel like I haven't posted a blog entry in FOREVER... so it felt good to post my review of The Age of Innocence. Next is The Crucible (which I read in high school). Of course Amazon is on crack and the Kindle version is $12... so I'll be hitting up my trusty library this evening.
In the blog vein... my adorable 15 year old blog reader from Austria commented to my blog. I just love her.
I went to Sephora last night to pick up some gifts for lallen, and also got myself more UD Primer Potion. When I was leaving, the girl was like "oh, and I might as well give you your birthday gift now". So she handed me two minis of the Fresh Sugar lip balm line (the clear and rose tint ones). They also put this same thing in my Sephora delivery (that I THINK will be at my house today). This sh|t is EXPENSIVE and is wonderful... so yay for free stuff.
I also bought my sister two Essie nailcolors... and fell so in love with one of them that I also picked a bottle up for myself. It's called Smooth Sailing and it's this great periwinkle with a really fine glitter. It's possibly the most perfect nailcolor EVER!

The guy and I are going to have a trial-run with the long distance thing - give it a few months and see how it works between us. We're both very realistic about it and what it entails, but hopeful at the same time
He is half Italian and is an AMAZING cook. I'm in awe. However, in previous relationships, I'm used to being the one who cooks...and then I don't have to do the dishes, which is my least favorite household chore, hands down. Since he's so much more talented than me in the kitchen, I see myself resigned to the dishes role more often. And I don't wanna. *flail*
I haven't been clothes shopping in awhile, and the pants I bought in January are hanging off of me. A trip to Tarjay is in my future this weekend - I'm excited to see what size I fit into now! Could I be in the teens, finally? (Most pants I own right now are 20)
Lastly, I'm really happy for all you preggos, new puppy moms and new baby moms. Yay!
I have 45 minutes of work left.
I start a new set of intervals in tonight's run.
These are the only exciting things in my life right now.
Imoan...I LOVE the Fresh Sugar lip balms. I have the rose one and they makes your lips so smooth and I love the smell. I wish they weren't so expensive! Between that lip balm and the Buxom gloss, I have the prettiest lips around.
We are bringing puppy for a walk tonight. He's not very good at going for walks. We usually end up carrying him half of the way because he sits and won't move. It must look hilarious to others to see FI carrying the dog and me holding the leash attached to the dog. It must look like I'm bringing them both for a walk. Silly puppy.
Some 10 year old kid won an honorable mention for his pictoral solution to solving the Greek euro crisis.
It's a nice day outside today.
Mine is pretty simple - I finally made the effort to steam-clean the carpets on the first floor this morning. The Geekling and I have been really busy the last several months and I haven't had/made time to do it. Woke up with a blazing migraine and ended up canceling our morning plans. By 9ish my migraine was mostly gone, so I started doing the floors. I will never ever CHOOSE to have nearly-white carpeting installed.
Oh, and my sister confirmed that she and BIL will be coming in for Easter and will be staying at our place. I'm SO excited about this. My MIL will be here, too, so it will be fun to have a full house this coming weekend!
imoan, your posts have been so full of win and happy lately. They make me smile.
GEEK! WTF have you been? (Busy, as you stated, obviously.) Good to see you around!
