Irrational flameful.

Chewable adult vitamins are for pu$$ies. I don't know why this bothers me so much. Just swallow the damn thing.

Re: Irrational flameful.

  • Confession: I used the gummies while I was KTFU. They were the only kind I could keep down. Every regular one I tried left an awful aftertaste in my mouth that sent me waddling for the toilet. Berry Lemonade gummies to the rescue.

  • Chase your vitamin down with REAL gummies!

  • I have gummy vitamins, purely because it makes me look forward to taking them so I actually remember.

    no regrets!

    I'll allow this exception.

I've been swallowing non chewable pills every day since I was 12 years old. I think anyone who can't is a pansy. The only exemption is pregnancy nausea.
  • but.. it's soo big!

This. I have "real" One-a-day swallowable vitamins, but I never rememebered to take them.

Last month I bought gummy vitamins. Haven't missed any in a month. BOO YAH!

    ::: nods:::

I got DS chewies (and Flintstones for me) so he can remind me to take them.

This, but since I was about 3 years old (born with hypothyroidism).  I think I'd rather take regular pills than chewable ones...the chewable ones are just icky.

  • My former ob/gyn likes all her patients of child bearing age to take prenatals.  She recommended certain ones to me and said, "There horse pills so I hope you don't have any issues swallowing."

She didn't like the response I gave her...

"You cannot protect yourself from sadness without protecting yourself from happiness."

    That's what she said.

"I don't have any issues swallowing, it keeps it out of my eye and that sh!t burns! Oh... you meant pills? No, I can't do pills I'll choke."

  • I'll take my gummy vitamins with pride.

I can't even swallow an Advil without gagging. The only way I got through taking vitamins through pregnancy was Flintstones!

    Oh, FFS.
  • I have no problem swallowing pills (and I think it's a little weird when adults do) but if I had gummy vitamins I would just eat them like candy. I tried some, Flintstones I think, and they were pretty tasty.
  • I have a legit question. Do the adult (not prenatal) gummies make anyone nauseated?

The "one a day" (or generic equivalent) swallow vitamins always make me nauseated, unless I eat a ton of food with them. I'm not preggo or anything. I try to take them with dinner, but I always forget. I would prefer to take them when I take my BCP in the morning. I'm willing to be a pansy if I can take a vitamin every day without wanting to throw up.

This is weird. Did she tell you her reasoning for having you take them? There's no way I'd be paying for daily prenatals for the 15 years I'll have been seeing a gyno before I have kids.

I take the gummy prenatals from target. They're no more expensive than any other kind and I had an NP tell me I should do the same so that all the important stuff like folic acid is there from the minute you get pregnant.

One time I took my vitamins after eating only a piece of toast and I barfed it right up in the sink, no warning. Just too much heavy stuff to handle. Thats why I take them in the afternoon now on a full stomach.
