Since you're all so interested in my female parts

I had the colopscopy today.  It didn't go so well.  Based on the pap results, the doc was expecting low-grade dysplasia, but it ended up being high-grade.  Most likely a Level 2 (out of 3).  She biopsied 3 spots and I'll have definitive results in 7-10 days.  She said I'll most likely be back for a LEEP procedure.

The good news is that 90% of people are "cured" with the LEEP.  I say "cured" because it's not cancer, just precancerous cells.  Once this is all over, I'll go on my merry way.

We talked about my sexual history and the doc said because of the timeline and my XH's philandering, he's most likely the one who gave me the HPV.  I know it's so common and blah blah blah, but it was another knife in an old wound.

I managed to make it to my car before I cried.  Mainly because I was scared, but also because my nether regions were burning like a mofo.

So, blerg.  If you've been slacking on getting your annual exam, stop putting it off.  ::Gives the hairy eyeball to PPD::

This is my siggy.

  • Awwww Bowies, I'm sorry about your hurty vag. I'm not sure how to say that I'm sending your cooter good vibes in a non-creepy way, so take it as you will!

I think you should send XH a copy of your doctor bill.  ;)

  • Sorry Bowies - this totally sucks. I hope you get better soon.
  • Ibuprofen was my best friend after my colposcopy and biopsy. I say take some and relax and do whatever the hell you want to do for the rest of the evening. Take care of yourself and be the awesome woman you are. Thinking about you.
  • Ugh, Bowies. Sorry for your lady part troubles, and that the ghost of your XH's douchiness is rearing its ugly head like this. I hope the LEEP is painless and that this is the end of it.
  • ((((bowies))))

I hope all ends up well and your jj is back to normal asap!

  • Thanks everyone.  On the positive side, I lost a couple of pounds.  Perspective!
    This is my siggy.
  • That sucks, Bowies. I am glad it is precancerous and they've caught it in time for what sounds like a fix for it and you can move on from it.

Also, I'd like to shank your XH in HIS nether regions right now. With a dull, rusty shank.

    Oh, FFS.
  • I'm so sorry. I had LEEP done several years ago, and have had normal paps ever since. I will say that it was probably one of the main causes of my weakened cervix with my twin pregnancy, though I had a completely normal singleton one afterwards. And they knocked me out, so I don't remember a single thing.

  • Aw Bowies, I'm sorry to hear this.  Hopefully the LEEP is painless and easy and you're all fixed up soon.
