You are entitled to your opinions, and I think some of what you said was fine. You were a bit unthoughtful, and I hope you will be more thoughtful in the future. I've been unthoughtful before. Who hasn't?
People can get rude, but that's the internet. I wasn't even overly offended by you, for what it's worth.
You'll be okay. Lay low a few days and come back on another subject. The last time I took a huge pile on, I stayed away for a week or so, and then came back without any incident.
Is this a joke?
No matter how you try to re-word it or give it a different slant, you basically said that fat people should be shamed by not having clothes to wear or big enough seats to sit in, because that will somehow make them lose weight.
That was douchey and mean.
You can't be surprised with how people responded.
